Original Bamboo & BFF Bands
I am 5ft 2in, 170lbs pre-pregnany and 195lbs on the date of birth. I retained a ton of water during the birth so was extremely swollen everywhere afterwards. Under the belly bands, I wear a pregnancy compression undergarment that's just for the stomach. It helps reduce discomfort of the band digging in or if I'm hot, it helps alleviate moisture. You could even wear a thin tank top. I purchased the Original Bamboo version and followed the sizing instructions. With all my clothes before being pregnant, I've always worn L and XL so didn't trust the sizing chart. I went ahead and purchased both the Medium and Large just to be sure. 1 day post postpartum I didn't fit in the Medium, it was about 2 inches shy of fitting, so I kept the Large. I should have kept the Medium and waited about 1 week pp because I would have fit in it fine. My body just needed to get rid of all the water I was still retaining. About 3 weeks pp, the Large no longer fit; too big. One negative is the front of band has some kind of stiff material, like a board of some kind, and over time it becomes more flexible. I have a pooch stomach from the pregnancy and felt this board was not sinching my waist line because this board lost its stiffness and molded to my stomachs shape. 4 weeks pp, I then purchased the Medium BFF band and love it. It is about 2-3 inches shorter than the Original Bamboo version, it hits the middle of my waist line and just below my hip bone. Definitely gives me a muffin top. The size fits perfect and I love the 2 straps, you can customize the top and bottom, however tight you need it. It doesn't have that stiff board, like what's in the Original Bamboo version. Both bands are comfortable, as long as I wear the stomach compression undergarment (or thin tank top). I'm 6 weeks pp and wear both bands together. I first put on the BFF, to customize how tight I want the band and molds to my body. I then put on over it, the Original Bamboo. I keep it up higher (loosely) just to cover up the muffin top :)

Good, but doesn't cover full torso
I love this company and was excited to try this wrap post delivery. So far it has been good, keeps everything in place and has helped recovery. However, it isn't very big! It covers about half of my torso, so I have to pick like areas to focus on, and then the skin kind of overflows out the top :/ which is disappointing that it doesn't cover and compress everything that needs to be compressed. If it was taller it would be amazing! But since I can get a much taller wrap for less money, I wouldn't buy this one again.

Advice from a second time mama
I bought this with amazon prime. I am in my 7th month of pregnancy. I measured the belly bandit to for my stomach now. I tried it on and it fits. It will be perfect for after my Csection. After my last c-section I had a lot of swelling so it's good to order a band that fits you NOW. Love that it has two velcro's so I can tighten it easier. The band I used last time only had 1 large Velcro closure and was hard to close tight while standing. I know you're supposed to lay down and close the band, but sometimes you need to re-adjust when in the public restroom and I could never get the velcro tight enough while standing. With two velcro's I can easily velcro one, then tighten the other velcro, un-velcro the first and pull it tight, etc. until I get a nice tight fit without having to lay down. By alternating the straps closed you can get a nice tight fit. Great product. I ordered a medium and will order a small for the week after delivery. Ladies, do yourself a favor and spend a little money and time on yourself. you'll be happy you did. Bringing a new life into this world doesn't mean you have to lose a part of yourself. Feel beautiful again after delivery and purchase a belly bandit! Your abs will thank you. Trust me.

Ok, but too expensive
Not great value for the $; too expensive. Run small; for shorter waists. Benefit over original band is the 2 flap adjustment which is better for curves. However, still folds/creases making it uncomfortable on the sides and back, just like original band. Fabric covering makes it less irritating to skin than original band.

Major disappointment! Purchased for c-section recovery
Major disappointment! Purchased for c-section recovery. As the other reviews say, it fits great at first, but that fit quickly diminishes as the band bunches up with deep folds that never go away. It curls, it won't stay in place, it looks ridiculous under clothing that is even remotely form fitting - it is a waste of $80, and at a time when that money can go to more useful things. The packaging offers a BS disclaimer about the folds being intentional and that is just marketing to cover their ass. It's just a poor product. It may fit short waisted women with narrow hips great, but all other figures should beware. I wore it for the first week, and am now using the cheap band given to me by the hospital full time. As a side note for those concerned with sizing, I was worried the size I ordered would be a little too small, but a couple days after my surgery it fit.

Uncomfortable and bunches up
I wanted to wait until I had used this produce for awhile to review. Well, I've used it for 2 months now and I have to say it works fairly well. The low rating is because the product quality did not meet expectations.. first, after only 2 weeks of wear it started rolling down then shortly after the inside elastic bunched up and stays that way all the time which is very annoying. Uncomfortable and annoying yet it worked so if you want to struggle with it for results you will get them.

It fits me well ! This is good for small/ petite people
I ordered this as I will be recovering from abdominal surgery in a couple days. I have been advised to buy a binder. I am having laparoscopic, but possibly a C-section like scar type of surgery for radical hysterectomy. I ordered a few other binders on Amazon, none of them were small enough to fit me. Itโs frustrating because youโre basically just going on reading reviews, photos, and what people say about the fit. I considered going to a surgical supply website, but I feel like itโs easier to look at the reviews and photos on Amazon, thatโs how I like to shop at least. I am 5 foot five, 109 -112 pounds. 40 years old. I figure with surgery I will probably have some swelling but the other binders I ordered all seem to be made for larger people . I was worried about this one because it didnโt have a lot of good reviews. Iโm writing this review for you petite and smaller women out there like me that are looking for a good belly binder that is comfortable with the good tension that will fit you well. There is plenty of room to spare on this binder if I need to go tighter, and thereโs room if I swell. I canโt speak to those ladies using this as a pregnancy postpartum binder, but if you were having abdominal surgery and were advised by your surgeon to get something like this I feel like itโs going to give me excellent support and comfort. Iโm a size 0, sometimes 2, my waist is about 24 inches measured at the true waist loosely. I just wanted to find some thing with the proper level of support and grip it seems like most of the things on Amazon and the photos were for bigger people. If youโre small like me (and canโt help it,) I hope this review helps you and your search. Iโm sure if you were five or 10 pounds smaller it still might fit you maybe. Buy this one itโs worth the money, I looked at the luxe version as well and there was a wait time on it and it cost more so I think this one is comfortable enough. If I find myself needing another one I will totally splurge for the luxe version belly bandit

sizing was a bit off, but it work
The day I got the BFF it fit great. I was measuring a Large on part of my body and a Small on another part according to the sizing chart provided...so I ordered a Small. Between wearing the BFF, healthy lifestyle, pumping/nursing, and my body naturally decreasing, the BFF no longer fit my small size after 2days! I could wrap the band beyond the velcro part without trying very hard. A good thing I guess, but now I need the XS and really dont want to pay the same cost again. I didnt get my $80 worth out of it. I would recommend the product, but get a size smaller than you measure currently if you are an active mom and healthy eater. Also, I wore it for almost 15 hours a day between weeks 4 and 5 postpardum. I would have gotten more use if i had it earlier I'm sure. It did not bother my C-section scar, but was a bother to wear over my maternity banded pants...but just give yourself the appropriate amount of time to go to the bathroom.

Waste of money
Waste of money in my opinion. Probably works, but after having a baby I just wanted to be comfortable. This was NOT comfortable. It compacted everything together and was a pain to wear. Hurt to bend over wearing it and to sit comfortably. Would not recommend to a new mother.
