I got the 2.5m version. It arrived very quickly, with no damage. It's solidly made and well put together. Time will tell if the paint coating keeps rust at bay. The fabric seems to be good quality. The instructions are quirky but comprehensive. You install the 2 brackets first - there is a fair bit of leeway in the measurement. The 4 holes took me 2 hours to drill into sandstone with a 16mm bit. The supplied bolts looked a bit flimsy, so I used Rawlbolt M10 expansion bolts, 135mm, but 85mm would do. You then raise the torsion bar and roller assembly so it's level with the brackets and slide it into positon. 2 people on 2 ladders would make this easy but I managed on my own, by temporarily attaching one end to its bracket with cord. You need 17mm and 13mm spanners and a spirit level (not supplied with the awning). The rake adjustment is a bit fiddly, not helped by the bolts being of different sizes. The whole process took 4 hours.The winder is slightly stiff and a bit squeaky, but the instructions say no oil is needed. So far, the awning has coped OK with a light breeze (<10 knots). We would not be sitting outside if it was much windier and would wind the awning in.

Was surprised by the quality of this awning for the price.As can be seen in my photos my wall is not even but the rawl bolts are long enough that this was not an issue.The vertical brackets and thick rawl bolts make for an easy install. Feels sturdy.Pitch is easily adjustable also.I was a bit reserved when I saw reviews complaining about rust but for the price I am happy.No sign of rust so far after a few rain showers.I have a cover coming for an extra 15 quid so rust should not be a problem.At the price of the awning I have no problem buying a cover to make it last.Hoping to get at least 5 summers out of it.Very happy overall.

Great price, delivered on the day stated, excellent quality, easy to install. Yep you you guessed it, I love this awning. Only had it a few days but so far I have used it every day. I have added a couple of extending poles at the front so I can use it in breezy weather. Fancy a beer on a warm summer's evening in the rain? Then you need this. I can see me (us) getting loads of use out of this and for not a lot of money. You will not be disappointed. I wish I had bought the next size up as you can see the rain creeps in at the edges so bear that in mind.

Brilliant shade and shelter solution for the money. Just had a new large decking area constructed and needed some shelter for it. So many options and a considerable price range. Couldn't really decide on whether to go for lean to pergola type structure with roof, or a pergola with retractable roof which would be even more expensive. In the end decided to go for the cheap option until we decide what type and size of cover is suitable for us. This awning was delivered very quickly and was really simple to install. The whole thing seems really good quality for what we paid and will provide a shade solution until we decide on whether we want a more permanent structure. The only downside is that it is not suitable for use in windy weather but as a shade for sun and shelter from rain it does the job admirably.

We purchased the Green Bay 4 x 3 metre retractable canopy.The item was shipped very quickly and with delivery tracking.Very pleased with the company sending this so promptly and item arrived in good order and with all the parts and fitting instructions in the box.As per other reviews the 4 x 3 is a large heavy item of sturdy construction.We we're delighted with the quality of the product. It is a quality item and we feel it is excellent value.The fittings are very robust and installation took us ( my Wife and I ) 2 hours.*Important to note:Fitting is not complecated if you are a competent DIY person with good equipment such as ladders, hammer drills, bits, and a selection of tools etc ...Definitely required 2 adults, and very heavy item to lift up ( bearing in mind you have to hold while going up ladder ) ...We would suggest if in any doubt over installation, buyers should consider getting professional fitters in to do the job.Verdict: Beautiful extending cannopy, and looks fantastic.We added a photo and give the item and company seller 5*

The build quality is pretty good, not perfect but good, if you want perfect, you would probably have to pay way more! It's been up for about 4 months and been out in slightly windy days, very slight movement, nothing to worry about and there is a slight fade already but we have had a lot of hot sunny days, so I expect fading! Been out a few times in the rain and held it's own, maybe a little fine misty rain came through, but the rain was a bit hard!The thing I will strongly suggest, use better raw bolts, the raw bolts that come with are rubbish.I also didn't see the necessity of putting the awning so high, it doesn't have to be so high, as long as when the awning is extended you could walk under it or the front is a approximately 2m, I put my awning @ 2.5mI think the higher it is the more wind issue's, my garden is sheltered by 1.83m fence.We love our awning, it finishes the garden off.
