Book was in great shape and fast delivery. Sure I will get many great fly patterns to tie.

Excellent collection of 1600 patterns that include a wide variety of classics and modern patterns by popular fly tyers, using the latest materials. Patterns are well-organized by categories, plus there is an index. Substitutions are offered for feathers of rare birds and other difficult-to obtain materials, which I greatly appreciate. This is *not* a how-to book of techniques, so if you find a pattern that you don't know how to tie, you will have to look elsewhere for tying instructions. (Search for the pattern name on YouTube--chances are, you will find it.)

Bought one for myself and one for my brother. This has tons of flies grouped into categories, and nearly all categories are well represented. nymphs, dries, terrestrials, bass bugs, salmon/steelhead, saltwater and more. Recipes are given for each fly. Gives you no tying instructions, however. I usually find the fly I want and if I can't figure out how to tie it, I find it online. Great reference tool, though. One of the most comprehensive fly tying books I've seen.

Another book for my Husband who is a trout bum 100% . He ties all of his flies and would spend hours at his desk tying flies for our son and others that want to fly fish .WE fish from Colorado to the White river and his fly tying vise is with us . So is his favorite books for the area he fishes .

My son loved making flies to fish with. He loved this book.. His was dying with cancer when I purchased it for him. He was so pleased with this book. Thank you for giving his such pleasure is such a sad time. Great book..so he said..

レシピ集としては、基本のマスからサーモン、ウォームウォーター（バス、カープ etc.）、並びにソルトウォーターと、古今東西と何でもある。私が、書棚にあって、一番二番に確認する回数の高いレシピ集で、収録数は間違いなくトップクラスである。時間があるときに、眺めている。対象魚に合わせたフライに迷うとき、またオリジナルレシピ作成の参考となるのでお勧めできる。ただし、あらかじめタイイング課程の紹介は一切ないことを断っておきます。タイイングTipsを極めるならば、”The Fly Tier's Benchside Reference"、某メーカから邦訳本もでてますが、こちらを参考に。以上、本書をふくめた私の好きな2大洋書となります。脱線したかな。

A great book for patterns but not for a beginner as there's no step by step to tie them it's more for the advance tier .I would recommend it to any one .
