This is the 2nd bar of soap that I purchased from this company but a different scent (1st was ginger lily, this was Japanese plum) and I like it more. The fragrance is stronger on this one and it lathers just as much, which is a lot! For me I take a shower every evening before bed as a way to relax, not from being dirty or sweaty, and I like my soap to smell nice. I have already tried soap from 5 other companies that are also triple milled in a search for the 'perfect' bar. I've been trying to find one that has a nice fragrance, creamy lather, isn't drying, and rinses clean - so far this is the best! For many years (more than I can remember) I only used bath and shower gel and for some reason I decided to try using bar soap again. I don't like using the drugstore or supermarket brands like Dove and Ivory that have been around since I was a child that my mother used to buy. When I compare this soap to the others they are all about the same price and made the same way: triple milled and from $10 - $15 per bar. There was only one review for this particular scent when I bought it and I didn't have much to go on based on the person who wrote it. I find the Japanese Plum has a somewhat sweet floral scent that is more feminine and not something a man would want to use. I'd recommend this to any woman who enjoys taking a shower or bath and likes this type of fragrance. If not, this company has many more to choose from depending on preference (for example, pineapple and coconut smelling soap, melon, lavender, and the list goes on)! The quality is well worth the cost. One last comment is that my skin is a little dry and I use moisturizer after each shower but with this soap it's not as bad as with some others. Personally I would like the smell to last a bit longer - then it would be perfect for me! A word of caution, the soap is large and slippery in the beginning and a little awkward to hold but I find that a washcloth holds it better and keeps it from falling on the shower floor.

This soap is amazing. I purchased because my daughter told me persimmon is the only natural order eliminator for “old people smell”. She said I didn’t smell old, yet. I thought I would be proactive.🤣 It smells great and is moisturizing.

I really, really like this soap. It has a nice, albeit, subtle scent. The scent does not linger after a shower and the bar is a bit pricey but I still like it. It's a substantially sized bar that lathers well and it seems to leave my skin soft and not dried out. It also seems to last. With 1 person daily use, I think it will make it 2-3 months. Someone else said this soap makes them happy, and I have to agree with that sentiment. I can't explain why and I don't need to. My generation had a saying, "If it feels good, do it!" It does and I will. I plan to try other scents and I will happily gift this soap during the holiday season.

The scent is wonderful, but it doesn't linger long after washing with it. I think that's a plus; you don't have to worry about the scent of your soap clashing with the scent of your shampoo or body lotion or perfume. It lathers nicely. And the packaging is attractive enough to make it look special if you put a bar of this soap in a gift basket.

Beach is a sort of a light citrus floral musk, no coconut. I'd say it's a gender neutral fragrance. Fragrance is subjective & I'll say although it's not my fav, it's pleasant; I'm a fan of their orchid soap. I'm pretty sensitive to scents so yes it's a bit strong out of the packaging but in a couple days, it tampers down quite a bit. Their soaps won't transform dry skin but they don't strip your skin either....& it actually cleanses. It's a large bar but for the price, it should be. I saw several reviews of people not being able to hold onto it...no idea why. I rub the bar onto a wet washcloth & I'm ready to go. I love that the bar lasts forever. I really wish Bobbi Brown still made their Beach soap bc it was so on point (suntan lotion, coconut, floral absolute bliss) but at least the fragrance is still available.

I loved the great foamy suds that this bar produced. The scent is discreet and my husband didn't notice it until he gave me a kiss good-bye. I don't wear perfume because I work in healthcare. I like that is has the shea butter so it doesn't dry out my skin. The only drawback is that the bar is huge and I dropped it a few times. I will buy this again, very definitely. I have had this a week now so I can't comment on the longevity, but it looks promising.
