Product Description
Three more episodes of the animated comedy featuring Lawndale's most cynical teen resident. Daria's equally downbeat best friend Jane features in 'See Jane Run', 'Daria Dance Party' and 'Jane's Addition', in which the duo fall out over sport, love and the school dance.
From .co.uk
The eponymous heroine of Daria began life as a character in the cult MTV cartoon Beavis & Butthead. Daria, of the enormous spectacles, held a resolutely unsmiling demeanour and an immensely amusing name (with the judicious addition of one syllable, it becomes a common gastric complaint). With these qualities she became an obvious candidate for a series of her own, offering the perfect study of a certain kind of adolescent familiar to anyone who is, or has been a 15-year-old who is utterly unimpressed with everything--regarding all human activity as no more than the sum of its absurd fundamentals. With a sister who sounds like she has just stepped out of a Barbie catalogue and a gaggle of class mates, some with less than one brain cell between them, the basis for "disaster and woe" to befall poor Daria is instantly set up. The joy of each episode of Daria is watching her start out the day determined to see the worst in any given situation as the world in general once again lives down to her expectations. --Andrew Mueller

From the Back Cover
The only person in Lawndale that understands Daria's disgruntled sarcasm is her equally cynical best friend Jane. But that doesn't mean they always agree. See what happens when Daria protest from the sidelines as Jane experiments with life as a jock. Then see how Daria copes when a suitor competes for her inseperable sidekick's attention. Though they have their ups and downs their friendship has always pulled them through. What else could explain why they grudgingly help the unappreciative Quinn decorate the school dance.

Ultimate
The first Daria video was a bit of a milestone for this show. A deep, sarcastic offshoot of Beavis and Butthead which is much, much funnier, these three early episode show why the show got commissioned in the first place. While the voices are a little bit off (Tiffany, Jane, and Brittany seem to have swapped voices somewhat), this video shows the origins of the Fashion Club, Daria and Jane's friendship, and *gasp* Brittany's house! With an extra section tacked on at the end, the animated schematic of the pilot episode 'Sealed With a Kick', this video is fantastic. Buy, enjoy, repeat.

Daria gives us our first taste of her sarcasm
This video I got purchased for my Birthday. This was 2 weeks ago. Since then I have watched it so many times, I can nearly say it all off by heart. Yet it still hasn't got old. It's the first 3 episodes of Daria ever. Daria spun off from Beavis and Butthead, yet don't be put off by this. It's a totally different type of cartoon. In the first episode we see Daria on her first day at Lawndale High School. Her sarcasm and 'bright' out-look on life never fails to make me laugh. The second episode shows a typical high school party, yet Daria is invited. She also ends up spoiling it for her cliquey, snobby sister, which I find amusing, myself having a sister similiar to Quinn. In the final episode she goes to College for the day.If you like sarcasm, you'll like Daria. She's always ready with some comment and is a great role model for all those other dysfunctional geeky teens out there.

Ascerbic, witty and laced with a loathing of vacant teens
Daria is a new girl at a school which seems to contain little more than rich vapid idiots and teachers who need to be in therapy. Matters are not helped by the fact that as an academic prodigy she's ignored by pretty much everyone, and her younger sister has all of the lads drooling and fighting over her. Her parents want what's best for her, despite paying more atention to their careers. Her only companion is a similar social outcast called Jane, and together they trawl the final years of secondary school, poking fun at all the people who are too stupid to realise they're being insulted. A must for anyone whose pet-peeves inolve teenagers apparently devoid of braincells. I only wish I could have got away with being this sarcastic when I was 16!

best friends!!!
daria's friendship with jane is put through its paces in these 3 episodes;when jane becomes a 'jock' and suddenly becomes popular, when a guy takes an interest in jane and when quinn needs a dance commitee. daria's sarcasm and jane's easy going nature makes this friendship solid as a rock ... and you will laugh during this video!!!

Great video, full of classic Daria episodes. Worth buying, but I would also recommend 'Sibling Rivalry'. Both good videos
