My rating is based upon the value of less than $10 for 2 baskets. If this were $20, my star rating would most definitely change. My expectations were admittedly low. Very low considering some "heavy duty" baskets cost more than $30/basket.Upon arrival I was surprised to see the label. "Full one year warranty" Not something I realized, but made the gamble even more worth it.I compared them to my original Hayward pool skimmer baskets and felt they were of similar quality. Both had a slight bend/give to the basket. As you can tell from my pictures, even the Hayward one breaks.The original Hayward basket has a + ridge on the bottom that lifts it slightly, this one does not. I'm not sure that will actually matter, but it is noted.The holes in this basket were a bit more tightly knit, which gives me the impression of lower flow but capturing more debris. However, it didn't make a difference to my pool pump or my flow gauge meter.Overall, would I buy it again? If it lasts 5 years like my Hayward one does, absolutely especially if it's still $10 for 2 baskets.

Skimmer baskets arrived very quickly. The price is great, especially for two baskets. The fit in my older pool’s skimmer was perfect.

Product is as described and delivered on time. Seems to be a little bit cheaper material and might not hold up as well over time, but for the price it is worth it.

I read the reviews before purchasing and had no expectation on the products but I purchased them due to the lower price. I expected thin, flimsy plastic that will break down easily in short period of time. When I opened the box, the material is surprisingly thick & solid and the basket is sturdy. I don't know how long it will last but when compared to the original Hayward 1070, I don't think the quality is any less.

I am writing this one today as I purchased these Skimmer Basket replacements a few weeks ago, They were suppose to fit an 8" opening but I found out they actually have an 8" upper basket with the ring larger than 8". Luckily it would fit the upper area of my pool pump and I could use it until I could get a replacement in. In the couple of weeks it was in my pool I noticed the larger holes let a lot of debris pass through the skimmer, and when I took it out to clean it, The handle broke on me. I was not really happy with the product and don't recommend purchasing it unless you want to replace it again in the near future.It is a quick fix which I ended up using it for, but as a replacement I would recommend looking at a little more expensive and better made product. I guess the reason you are getting two for the price is because of the lesser quality of the product as I put the second one up for an emergency if the different one I bought messes up.

The basket fit into the skimmer properly but when leaves accumulated and the suction became greater on the basket, its shape didn’t maintain and it was pulled down into the skimmer. It was very difficult to remove it afterwards. The basket pull broke when trying to pull it out

Baskets are affordably priced and last for years. I did modify the baskets to fit under my pool skimmer's retaining tabs. Not difficult with a file and elbow grease. I also added the extended "T" handle for easier removal.

Purchased to replace a rain barrel strainer that had failed. Fit perfectly, and should help to keep large objects from getting into barrel.

It fit in a Waterway skimmer. Don't bother with the handle, I removed the plastic handle which I knew wasn't secured/strong enough and replaced it with twine. Now it's OK.
