Relieved of her maid of honour duties after being dumped by the best man, Eloise (Anna Kendrick) decides to attend her oldest friend’s wedding anyway and finds herself seated among a group of misfit strangers in the back of the ballroom. As secrets are revealed, Eloise bonds with her new tablemates and discovers that friendships—and even romance—can happen under the most unlikely circumstances.

Best chick flick this man has ever seen!
Table 19 is a beautiful film! From an amazing cast to the most original romance story I've ever seen. This one is highly recommended. Every character was perfectly cast. My wife and I love Anna Kendrick anyways, but the rest of the actors really added a lot. I think Craig Robinson and Lisa Kudrow kinda stole the show here. The lady playing Nanny Jo will steal your heart and the the other 2 at the table will seriously make you laugh. The direction and cinematography was very professional and the 80's sound track was the icing on the wedding cake! There are some serious LOL moments that you just won't see coming. The story is full of twists and turns and yet somehow feels like a real story playing out in front of you. Wedding films have been done to death, but never have we see one that told the story from a guests perspective. The wedding party doesn't even make an appearance until halfway through the story. Instead we see a table of people that look like any one of us, getting invited to a wedding that they really didn't want to go to. We've all been there.I'm a man that generally hates romance movies but I fell in love with this one. If you're looking for a feel good movie this is a must see!

WoW. Pleasantly surprised!
It may not become a "classic" but it's become one my "classic" movies. Just an overall great movie. All kinds of twist and turns with awkward but totally relatable characters. A combination of romantic, dark comedy, and drama all rolled into one. It's just the kind of movie you choose because you decided to "give it a chance" (kinda like I watched everything else, let's try it) and at the end your so thankful you did. I love when that happens. 'Cause let's face...reviews are a great way to see what everyone likes but at the end of the day.....someone else's one star might be your 5 star. Although, I only gave it a 4 star because I'm not a psycho. I rarely give a 5 star review. Well, this is actually my first review but you know what I mean. 5 star reviews should be left for the "Greats" like Casino, Godfather, and Dumb & Dumber. ;) <----- The winkey face implies I'm joking...that's a lie. HA!

Very sweet movie reminiscent of the great 80's “Brat Pack” films. Main theme: Girl (Anna Kendrick) meets boy (Wyatt Hawn Russell); Boy dumps girl (we learn why half way through the film); Girl gets boy back (but you have to watch it to the end to see how)...Secondary themes courtesy of “those guests at Table 19 who RSVPed but shouldn’t have” include: the Bride’s former nanny - June Squibb - (Did she lose the one opportunity for happiness by putting her employer’s children’s happiness before her own?); the Bride’s uncle - Stephen Merchant - (Who is seeking to redeem himself after stealing $125,000.00 from his brother); two restaurateurs - Gwyneth Paltrow / Craig Robinson - (Who learn that 90% of marriage is “showing up”) and the awkward adolescent in the mink bow tie - Tony Revolori - (Will he learn the fine art of seduction?)….Both Anna Kendrick and Gwyneth Paltrow deliver 5 star performances; Thomas Cocquerel (as the mysterious Huck) is definitely worth following in future roles. Wyatt Hawn Russell does a great job of showing that the DNA from his parents (Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn) affected his good looks but not necessarily his acting ability (like Goldie, maybe he will improve with age).Good enough to put on my list for viewing at least a second time.
