Would this fit an adult, or is it just for kids?

This is for a small child only and painfully flat and hard. Even the full helmet Vader Voice changer http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Darth-Vader-Helmet/dp/B00GB2ZEDY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1386191047&sr=8-5&keywords=voice+changer+helmet was a tight fit for an adult but better. The full Clone helmets and the Boba helmet were perfect for an adult or older kid.

Can you see through the helmet?

Yes. You can wear this as your mask. It is pretty sweet. The only issue I had was resolved by the seller immediately.

there is some confusion,is this a full helmet?

The back is open as there are plastic straps to keep it on. So it is half a helmet.
