Works like most other semi-permanent hair dyes out there; lots of color and pigment!
My hair is dark brown from the roots to about 6 inches down, then my hair goes into bleach blond. You can see in photos attached. The darker photo is after 4 washes and the brighter one is taken in the sun right after dying. This semi-permanent did an awesome job coloring my hair a beautiful red/fuscia color. This is definitely more of a purple red than an orange red in tone; the package color is a big misleading. It's absolutely stunning and I have gotten a ton of compliments on how beautiful the color is and I have been impressed with the staying power. Any semi-permanent will only last 4-6 weeks if you wash your hair once a week (by last I mean stay somewhat vibrant). This is very pigmented so cover all surfaces and wear clothing you don't like when using it. The pigment does come off with multiple washes even on counters and clothing. This had a nice creamy texture to it and was easy to work into my hair. I kind of wish it didn't come in a tube (I like the tubs better because sometimes I am using many colors as once).Overall I liked this. I think it's very similar to One N Only, Manic Panic, Color Intensity etc. My favorites will remain Manic Panic and One N Only.I have been using semi-permanents a long time a couple of suggestions for those who have issue getting the colors to take to their hair or stay in.Prep/Coloring:- Make sure you wash your hair right before coloring with a cleansing shampoo. You want a shampoo that will strip everything out of your hair. Cheap shampoos without wax will also work. DO NOT put in any conditioner or styling products before dying.- Section your hair into many small sections, I usually do about 20 sections and saturate them completely with the dye.- Put petroleum jelly on your ears, back of neck, shoulders...this way you won't dye your other skin.- Wear gloves!!!!- Don't apply dye all the way to your roots; I leave dark roots that way I don't dye my scalp weird colors.- Leave the dye on as long as you can, you can also hit it with a hair dryer on hot to really lock the color in.- After you rinse the hair dye out make a mixture of 3:1 water: apple cider vinegar and scrub this into your hair and rinse; this will take any "loose" dye and make sure color isn't running everywhere when your hair gets wet later or rub off onto clothing or pillows, etc.- You can use Micelle water (I use Garnier's) to clean off any dye from your skin and bathroom.Maintaining Your Semi-Permanent Color:- Wash as little as possible. I usually wash once a week and use dry shampoo in between.- Wash with as cold of water as you can stand.- Use a good deep conditioning hair mask to make sure your hair staying shiny and sleek looking- Be prepared to repeat the whole coloring process monthly if you want to really keep vibrantly coloring hair.

Waste of money and time.
I was hoping the color would pop as advertised, but knew better. I was however expecting the color to at least be teal tinted in the light. Instead it left my hair sickly black with a hue that needs a magnifying glass to appreciate. A sad waste of money. I’m glad I only did a tester piece.

Nice colour, but an over promise
I like the colour, and I'm happy that the formulation is MOSTLY natural. However, I did not find that the colour lasted anywhere close to 30 washes. I would say 8 at most. The product is much easier to use that drug store brands, as there is no mixing required. As a result I can save without is left for another use, which makes it much more economical, especially since I only use it for highlights not my entire head of hair.

Not the color Purple you would expect
We have used a few Splat colors before. many are true to what you would expect. This one, we prepped the hair accordinly, followed all directions and the purple is not purple at all, its a grapey wine-ish red is the best description I can come up with. the scalp was died purple where it got on some of the skin but the hair color was not at all. We bought the teal and the blue. the blue comes out almost the same as the teal just slightly less green. I would not buy the purple again. 1 pack will not do an entire head of hair unless you have thin or short hair.

Easy and fun!
Bright red! Love this color! It's really easy to use. You do have to cover surfaces, or it will stain, though. And the first few times you wash your hair, a lot of color will end up in the shower (although it won't make your hair look duller), so you have to clean the shower out when you're done to protect the surface from stain. But there are some great videos on YouTube showing people using this. And I got really lucky: my local hairdresser was willing to do it for me the last time I was there. I just brought it with me and she colored it for a minor charge. Doesn't hurt to ask!

PLEASE DON’T BUY, STICK WITH ARCTIC FOX
I was at Walmart and saw this product. I figured I’d give it a try. I bought the teal one. As soon as I got home I put it in my hair, got a little on my counter that left some staining. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Then I got in the shower to rinse the product out, and all hell broke loose. My whole shower stained blue, my hands were blue, my face was blue, my whole body was blue. The product would not rinse it off, what so ever. I had to shower for a good hour to try and get enough off to get to Walmart and demand my money back. I get out, dry my hair hoping it would atleast look decent. Nope, my hair looked black with an ugly green tint ( my hair was originally medium brown). Luckily, I got my money back and headed right over to Sally’s to receive some help, and some arctic fox hair dye. After 4 showers, and a lot of bleach I’ve managed to get the majority of it off my body and bathroom. But unfortunately, my face has been red and in pain ever since. This product claims to be vegan, and natural. I highly doubt that. Please heed my warning and don’t waste your money on this horrible product. I NEVER leave reviews, but I’m hoping it’ll save someone else’s bathroom, hair and skin from the damage.

Different
I liked that this is thick consistency compared to the paint. It is easier to use. I didn't realize this pink was so light so it didn't really color my hair cause it was the same color. I was expecting a bright pink. I might try this one but in magenta and see how it works.

Exactly as described.
Perfect! And this type of bag dispenser is so much more convenient than the small baggies that you can't reclose.
