Great pan, for advanced cooks looking for a solid solution at a good price.
First off, I am a cookware collector of sorts.I am not going to compare this pan to other more expensive pans, other then to say the main difference is in the thickness of the metal. My De Buyer pans look almost identical until you left them up. De buyer is so thick it's hard to hold the pan off the fire with on hand, with this pan, it is no problem. Compared with made-in it is thinner and the handle doesn't have as much pizzazz as the made ins fit and finish. All that being said, those pans are many times the cost of this pan. For the money, I have tested no major flaws. The pan is solid, has three rivots, though smaller than one of the French manufacturers, everything is solid and secure. This pan will probably last a lifetime, or several after that.If you are looking to try a French style carbon steel pan without breaking the bank, this is the pan for you. If you own a restaurant, this pan is for you.For people who are novice to cooking or have no experience with iron or carbon steel. This pan will take slightly more work for maintenance than you non stick. Carbon steel shouldn't be used for cooking acidic foods. It should not be cleaned with detergents like dawn which will strip the seasoning off. You shouldn't use a dishwasher. It will take a little bit to build up the non stick surface of oils. Your pan will go through an ugly phase, then eventually turn solid black. If you cant or aren't willing to hand wash with a scrubber then dry by heating on the burner and apply oil after every use, then this pan isn't for you. If you are already a pro and do this on a regular basis, this should not be an issue.

Great Buy!
Seasoned this pan up with six coats and it is fantastic. It has been in service for a few weeks now and it is super slick. I'll definetly be adding a larger size soon.

Eggs slide around better than a Teflon.
This is my first carbon steel pan (I use stainless and teflon). I light seasoned the pan just 3 times by just bringing up a little veg oil to smoke and then shut off the stove. In the picture is my first attempt cooking on it (you can see it’s still brand new looking). The eggs were sliding around effortlessly! This is deff gunna be a fun pan to cook in.

Worth the effort
Out of the box it takes some time to remove the varnish, then temper and season. But once prepared, this is a fantastic buy. Looks beautiful, browns well, dosen't stick and it's indestructable. Only minor issue is the painted handle melted a bit when "bluing" the pan. A bare steel or stainless steel handle would have been nice.

Lifetime frying pan is safe for your health!
It seasoned perfectly on the stovetop with flaxseed oil. Now I have a frying pan that is nonstick and safe for your health. It can be used on the stove or in the oven and will never need to be replaced even if I live to be 100. Great product!

Great value.
For the price, you might pick up the exact pan from lodge for an extra $10. That said I really like this pan, quality build easy to season, seems very durable and very versatile.
