Very impressed with the Antenna!
Ok. To be transparent, As an Amateur Radio Extra with 31 yrs behind me.I was a bit dubious. TV Yagis used to be like building the ISS and putting it on a pole. This little wonder uses loop directors and "fly swatter" corner reflectors. The rotation part is a bit lacking- the rotator box as no direction indicator, sometime even when you pick a direction, It may go opposite. Its like a 3 year old at the toy store, still beats the "Armstrong Method"! (Remember "Height makes might" The higher you can get the Antenna, The more channels you'll get. We are on the Jersey Shore, 65-70 miles from NYC. I can pick up most NYC and a bit of Philly (Go Birds!) and some of the digital stations. YMMV, but if you are like me, totally disgusted with Cable and frankly, Streaming is starting to suck as bad- (Thank God for Amazon), having a OTA Antenna makes perfect sense. If your ISP croaks, (and many are plain awful), you simply switch input to On the air and you have access to local channels, we also get some stations like ION, Nosey, a couple rerun stations, The "big 4" - NBC,CBS,ABC and Fox. some of the other digital channels can be a pleasant surprise! Paired it with a TV Mounting pole, I have to watch the antenna to be certain its pointing the right way, Point it where you get the most channels, and know you have a backup! As an Amateur Radio Operator, I have had Antenna's as simple as 100 feet of wire and tuner to Moxons and Yagis. some were trash. I learned you do get what you pay for. YOU WON't get fleeced on price, you will be pleased with the results. The most impressive part? THEY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING! 50' OF RG-6, everthing you need is there. You"ll need some simple tools, they even included "zip ties". Simple,Lightweight,Inexpensive and 95% of folks won't need anything extra from a hardware store. Keeps you from being off line if a storm or your cable or streaming goes off. It's a big win for a small investment

BEST ANTENNA/TRUE TO ADVERTISEMENTS
Luv this antenna. I purchased the EXACT brand 4 years ago. It eventually wore out, of course, so i bought this new model. Bigger coaxel line and easy assemble. Step by step. It came with a J bar that i didnt use because this unit alone picked up ALL SIGNALS. 172 signals. Uhf, vhf..clear picture and a rotation unit with remote. I purchase 2 other antennas stating in door out door use and the were junk. I MOUNTED this on the existing roof pole. Perect. Five Star came thru perfectly. They stand by their products and truthful advertising. Thank u Five Star. I do not pay for cable tv..i don't need to and you saved me tons of money a month. GREAT PRODUCT!!

Works Great, but Durability?
This antenna arrived o time as described. Assembly instructions were easy to follow but left some details out. Assembly was quick but you need to be careful as the parts are easily bent and the framework is lightweight plastic. I had to grind and sand the diameter of 1” schedule 40 PVC to make it 1/16” smaller to allow the PVC to insert into the antenna housing. I made an antenna pole from PVC to mount on my slide in camper. The antenna disconnects for travel. Mounting on the camper was easy. Followed the instructions for antenna channel search and was able to get 10 good digital channels. The antenna rotates 360 degrees to a built in stop and then reverses direction. You can use your phone to search for TV stations near you, their direction and distance. This allows you to tune your antenna the best quality signals. The antenna works great so far but i am concerned about the durability of the plastic housing, motor, and aluminum parts.

Good budget antenna
So far so good, went together easy (it only took about 5 min) and seems to be built good. I have this mounted to the eave of the house (brand spanking new roof) where it sits about a foot above the roof and we get great reception. We pick up about 100 OTA channels pointed towards Erie PA and about 120 towards Youngstown OH..We haven't turned it anywhere else yet. But it turns FAST..press and hold to go one way, press for a second, let go, press again and it'll go the other way. The picture comes in extremely clear too.

Disappointed in quality
I bought this antenna to install in my attic getting ready to "cut the cord" from cable. I found several manufacture issues common with made in China products: (1) threads on U bolt were not cut clean so the nuts wouldn't screw on all the way to tighten it to the mast. I made a replacement out of some thread rod I had. (2 ) The button on the remote control continually stuck when pushing it. I was able to free it up by working with it and a little silicon lube (I probably won't use the remote once setup anyway). Issues which are caused by a lack of quality control. The light weight construction of the antenna would never survive the wind and ice of a typical winner where I live. Because I am mounting it in my attic it will be fine though. The rotor is ok for my needs to adjust it once and leave it set but if you lived in an area where it needed to rotate to point to different stations, not having an indicator to show the direction it is pointing and not being able to turn the direction needed would be an issue. It does seem to work as expected for what I need after fixing the issues I had. UPDATE: A couple of days later I noticed the red power light on the control module was no longer lighted but it still seemed to work. I called customer service and after a short explanation of the problem they agreed to send me a replacement control modular. I received it a few days later, however the input connector was broken off. again I call customer service explained the damage I found on the unit. They asked me to email a picture which I did and couple of days later I received another replacement. This time it worked fine. Very good customer service but issues with over all quality. UPDATE AGAIN The amplifier failed again 2 months out of warranty. Had to pay to get a replacement mailed. Fixed the problem but seems to me a quality control issue. Thinking of replacing with a different antenna. Too many problems.

Go antenna delete cable and buy rotor
rotor does not work after a short time so no problem as I ordered a rotor that you do not have to have 2 people to turn it and works great. RCA VH226F Outdoor Antenna Rotor with Remote Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC $89.96 just order wire also. now get 69 channels Antenna Must been from a prior purchase as box and bags of items was damaged or opened but all items was in the box except maybe missing a clamp = read on. Installed the antenna on the side of the over hang by the roof called the eve. the directions show mounting on the roof = no way would I do that. Get 42 channels from north or south without turning antenna. One way at a guess is around 90 mile and other way maybe 50 miles. Gear is like others = a little sloppy & for me not that hard to install but the pictures of directions could be better as does not show the amount of coax to let in a loop and also says to loop through a predrilled hole = never saw that but was a place that looked like should been a clamp there but non available. I used a tie strap. Clamp may not been put in box . Bought our son a similar one a couple years ago but this one suppose to get farther reception . The one he has does have a light at the antenna to show power to the antenna and this one does not but there is a light on the box when you power it up. If we did not get him one prior = I would have bought this one for them instead. Only bad thing is you almost need 2 people when turning the antenna = 1 to push the button and one wherever the antenna is located to tell the other one when to stop. Takes about 15 seconds for the antenna to make a 360 degree turn. Also when hit button to turn say clockwise and let off and then hit the button again it may go same direction or in reverse = best to have 2 people. I pointed ours north east . do yourself a favor and buy what I list at the top for a rotor . One other thing as I purchased the Parts Express Cable TV in-Line Coaxial Surge Protector to protect the control but it seemed with that installed the rotor from antenna would not turn so I removed it. I could put it on now since have a good rotor.

I was expecting better
The quality of the antenna was good. The instructions could have been a bit better. It would have helped if there was a QR Code or if someone had put together a youtube video, but it was pretty straight forward. My problem is that the rotation stinks. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'll learn to live with it, probably finding the best direction and simply leaving it since you pretty much need to go outside to see where it ended up. This is probably my 4th recent attempt to get something that will draw in channels from 40 miles away, and I'll live with this.

Great love Them
OK , I live about 65 miles North of Atlanta , Ga. put this on a 30 ft. pole at end of house , I get about 109 channels . Love it , Get a lot more channels than had with basic cable and on my Sony TV's comes in crystal clear. I do have 5 TV's so I got 3 antenna , and since I live in the country not a subdivision , this is No big deal.
