Works great, easy to set, easy to see. Also makes a great nightlight

We bought this clock for each of our mother's two years ago. They seemed to like the large, easy to read print. So we decided to order one for ourselves. Received the clock, but an alarm kept going off at midnight, even though no alarms were set. So not to lose sleep, I returned it for a replacement. We received the second one and once again we were awakened, but this time by a single chime at 1:00 a.m. Again no alarms had been set. But there was a chime set and after trial-and-error, we finally were able to get the chime to stop by completely de-selecting the hour(s). This review is no to complain but just to give a heads up for anyone else that are receiving an unwanted alarm or chime.

Good product. Definitely helpful, definitely will need a younger person to help set up though.

Shouldn't call it dementia clock because everyone we bought this for loves it. Including us!! Just a great clock!

I have boughten this clock three times for family members.

My mother, in mid-80's, has been asking me "What day is today?" often enough such that I wanted to buy this product. She loves it. A go-to solution whenever she has that same question. As some other review stated the day-clock's alarm went off with a high, blasting volume, for which she didn't know what it was first. And, she had no idea how to turn the alarm off. Thankfully, my brother was there to simply unplug the device to kill the fire-alarm-like noise. Even he didn't know how to turn off the alarm, which was set in the factory (I think). When they told me about the alarm, I went through the menu and realized that someone had set an alarm for which there is no volume control. I couldn't delete the setting, but, I was able to put the alarm in "Off" mode. I also changed the date to year 2027, far enough to not worry about it (just in case the Off mode did not work). A couple of suggestions for improvements: (1) put a "Alarm Off" button in the front face, and (2) the font for date (e.g., August 11, 2020) should be larger (why did the designer use smaller fonts for this line? If the space was the problem, I would have deleted the time -- e.g., 11:45p.m. -- because a typical home has a number of clocks anyways). A suggestion for the factory: DO NOT set any alarm to go off; let each customer set it. I also read about how some devices went blank after a few weeks/months. I am going to power my mom's through a surge-protector. These types of electronics are pretty vulnerable during thunderstorms, just like computers and TVs. Again, my mom is very happy to have this Day Calendar! She no longer asks others "What day is today?"

Works great for 90 year old mother

I purchased this for a family member in the early stages of Parkinsons Disease. I really helps him to keep track of what day it is, plus the time etc. It was easy to get going and it's easy to read. Overall, we like it a lot. One thing to note. After we had it for awhile, apparently someone, probably at the factory, was being a jerk. Because the alarm went off at 3:40am. I did not set the alarm at all because we don't use it for that feature. Anyway, it was startling, but I was up and awake already so it didnt wake the whole house before I got it turned off.

The digital calendar day clock is almost perfect. The only complaint I have is that I cannot dim the light for a comfortable setting during the night. Apart from that, it's perfect!

Was a good product, unfortunately person it was bought for was already too impaired to be able to understand it for very long. Had we purchased it earlier, it would have been very useful. It had an easy to read screen and looked good.
