AH AP-8.5WX4 18-LPM Air Pump with 4 Outlets

Works great, great value. 4 outlets, adjusting dial, and hook for hanging makes this my preferred airpump for aquariums and hydroponics

Thing is working well. But it's noticeably louder than other ones I have used. It runs moderately hot after a while but that's just natural. They main reason I'm not giving it more stars is because on the adjustable dial for their min-max air flow, the amount of bubbles only increases from min to about half way through to their max setting. Any further, and all I notice, TRULY, is just a considerable increase in noise from the motor. But I also own a commercial pump and I gotta say, having a strength setting dial is very useful and wish my commercial one had that feature. Thanks!

Junk, avoid! I went through 3 of them in a few months, they just quit. They work great at first then just stop working after a while.

This is a huge pump in size. it is not as quite as two port pumps but much quieter than the larger commercial ones. Mine arrived making a seriously loud noise due to a manufacturing flaw. I had to take it apart to fix it. Easy fix and now it works great.

I bought 2 of these pumps. One worked great, powerful, but on the loud side. The other had one outlet that didn't work and was super loud. Returned it for refund. I didn't want to take a chance on another dud. This is my first review ever.

Well, I tried the bigger "commercial air pumps", but the noise levels were impossible to overcome. I tried to dampen the noise with polycarb noise sheets, but it rattled the floor still and put noise through to the apartment below! This one came, it's about 1/3 the noise. I was surprised: expecting a small typical unit, this rascal is almost 9 inches. It puts out so much air that the 4 outlets could be divided up into 2 or 3 other lines, feeding up to 12 smaller tanks. As it is, the output is gigantic! I am using these not for some DWC home growing tubs at full flow. The vast amount of air helped some ailing seed startings in the hydroponic media: air and water is needed for plant roots.This comes with a large adjusting nob, to turn down flow on all 4 valves.As always, be sure to use "backflow valves". I've bought some bags of them and some work, and some don't, so test them when clean and new by blowing on them. The backflows will prevent a flood of water onto floors!I'm going to replace some other pumps with this unit. The price is phenominal. Get this one first. If you're considering several small units for aquariums or plants, get this first and not be disappointed.

Was highly impressed with how fast they shipped it. The air pump is much louder than I realized it would be so it's not practical for a large aquarium if noise is an issue...

The pump control does nothing until the variable control knobis about 75% up then the pump output goes from 0% to 100%in the last 25% of the knob turning range. This is the case withall of this model pump not just the one I purchased. Other thanthat they work OK, except a bit loud. At this price point theywill all be loud.
