Stainless Steel Ring Opening Pliers - Medium 6"

I was stuck in a septum ring for quite some time, after using all the tricks I could find on reddit to no avail I caved and bought these to release me from my jewelry prison. They worked great, they smell like oil though- I probably should have washed them first but I was too excited.

It shouldn't be a BIG surprise that pliers work as intended, but this work perfectly for my circular barbells. My septum jewelry is too tight to fit over my fat septum to flip into my nose, so I figured I'd get a tool used for that exact purpose and not risk bending the jewelry wrong with my other pliers.

I returned these because instead of a proper smooth surgical/jewelry tool with notches, I received a scratched up mess of a tool that just had random rough ridges, nearly guaranteed to scratch and otherwise damage jewelry. The rest of the pliers beyond the actual ring-opening part was so poorly constructed, I can’t even say it looked drop-forged; these have a terrible irregular surface throughout the entire tool, making them impossible to clean and sterilize properly. Absolutely disgusting; don’t waste your time and money on these if you intend to use them for anything other than feeding them to your rubbish bin. It would be more efficient if you just threw your money in the garbage directly. Like I said before, in real life, these look nothing like the photo. Gross misrepresentation of the product on the page; these will never function as the seller claims they’re intended to. Guaranteed scratched and malformed jewelry and no good way to clean all the cracks and crevices and scratches and very rough edges before autoclaving them. Just, yuck, ew, not cleanable, waste of time and money. Choose something different; you will not receive what is in the photos. I didn’t even take them out of the package, the description and photos were so far off from reality. Yuck.

While it is not what is pictured, it does work VERY well. My Daith is sensitive and I was able to remove the ring easily!

Works as excepted but tool could use a bit more machining or polishing. Handles have some rough surfaces in area that should not be so. Also di it’s in nose are a bit small.

This was perfect! I got my daith pierced 5 months ago and wanted to switch earrings. Their was no way that was happening without some sort of tool. So I ordered this. I had my new earring in within a minute! It was great! No pain, no mess! Just quick and easy!

It works as it should and most definitely not flimsy. But, it was very dirty and sticky when I received it that I had to sterilize it TWICE. When I received my product, I got a different pair of pliers than the ones pictured.

They work awesome! Definitely take some getting used to. I had to take a pair of pliers wrapped in tape and crimp one of the rings since I opened the ring too far on accident. Would recommend to anyone!
