Very Convenient
I purchased this product because I was tired of having to pay high prices at my college's cafeteria. A small piece of grilled chicken is $2.50!!!! I decided that I would just make my own favorite and **healthy** foods and take them with me. In order to do that, I needed a lunch box. I haven't had to use one since I was a little girl in school. This purchase definitely brought back the memories! I also purchased the Fit & Fresh Cool Coolers Ice Packs Set Of 4 ( Multi-Pack) and EasyLunchboxes 3-compartment Bento Lunch Box Containers (Set of 4) BPA-Free. Easy-Open Lids (Not Leakproof) to go with it. Given that I haven't had to carry around a lunch box in forever, I needed both things to go with my new, pretty in pink, lunchbox. Thanks to 2 day, Amazon Prime delivery, I received my lunch box yesterday along with my other purchases. I was really excited. I opened it right away and inspected it. While I did receive the purchased product displayed above, I did notice several things. There were quite a few threads that were loose. I would not say anything if it were just a couple, but there were a lot. They were clustered around the zipper, particularly towards the back of it, but also around the front of it, too.I'm not sure how that will effect the use of my lunch box for the moment, or if it will effect how long my lunch box lasts in day-to-day use, but I thought it was an important note to make. If nothing else, it looks slightly sloppy, but given the amount of stragglers and loose threads, I'm afraid that if they continue to unravel, my lunchbox will not last. It is for this reason that I give the product only four stars. As for the rest of it, everything is great. It is the perfect size to fit my EasyLunchboxes 3-compartment Bento Lunch Box Containers (Set of 4) BPA-Free. Easy-Open Lids (Not Leakproof) a (large) muffin, banana, and an apple! I would still suggest this product even with the straggly threads.

Good... but could be great---UPDATED
This is our second order. The original bag was used for almost 3 years and needed to be replaced. After looking at other bags, my kids were so used to this, I decided to just order another one. It would be great if there was a pocket on the outside to hold napkins and another small pocket inside to hold a bag of ice to keep things cool.17 Feb 2014 UPDATE- I have been meaning to upate this review for a few months now. My kids have used this almost everyday to bring lunch to school. I purchased the bag (and containers) for the first time in September 2010. It was great. I had to finally replace it in July 2013 for the new school year. I don't know if they changed manufactures since 2010, but after 2 months, the bag started falling apart. The interior seams that held the plastic liner to the bag started to come out. The outter threading started to unravel. When my kids had this product as kindergartners, they were really ruff on their lunch boxes, and it was fine until 2nd grade. Now as 3rd graders, they are more careful, and the bag is just falling apart. I am just utterly disppointed by these newer lunch boxes.22 Apr 2014 UPDATE- I contacted the company via email. Explained what happened. I just provided them with the Amazon order, and they replaced both bags at no additional cost. Apparently these bags are hand sewned, and the ones I got were not sewn correctly. I have not used the new bags yet, but hopefull. I have update the my star review from 1 star to 4, based on the response from the company.

Holding up for six months now
We normally do home lunches 4X a week and this carrier has been holding up to the elementary school rough & tumble for six months now. I bought it specifically because it was machine washable, but after the first machine washing via my front loader, there seemed to be water trapped between the white plastic inner lining and the fabric. Since you can't put it in the dryer, I had to let it air dry for almost a week. Obviously can't do that regularly. I asked the company about alternative drying ideas and received a nice fast response that they've never experienced that and maybe try putting it in the sun…so I am only machine washing during breaks and on a daily basis we instead wipe it inside & out to hopefully get rid of the "lunchroom smell" and tidy up any crumbs. So far we haven't had any big spills inside (knock wood).Easy for the kid to open & close, and I like that it is top loading (more chance things will stay inside and not get lost). The EasyLunchbox divided compartment container fits perfectly, but see my other review on the container, we have not been happy with the longevity. The Ziploc divided containers fit, but have to go in at a slight angle. I can get a container, a large blue ice block, and a Nalgene OTF kids water bottle in there without any problems.

Meh
I bought two of these about 7 months ago when school started for my two boys. The boys attach these to the outside of their backpacks for school, because they are too big to fit inside of their backpacks. One of my son's lunch tote is totally splitting at the seams and we don't overstuff the bag, it's just falling apart. The other one is starting to come apart, but doesn't quite need to be replaced yet. I'm going to order another one, just because it's so cheap, but I would think you should be able to expect a lunch bag to last an entire school year. Another thing that I don't like is that you can't detach the strap at all. We've had lunch totes in the past and you can open one end and then click it to attach to the outside of the backpack. My boys backpacks have a thing on the outside that opens, so they can still attach this lunch tote to the outside of their backpacks. I guess you get what you pay for. Also the zipper isn't great how it zips and unzips around the corners of the lid, you have to be somewhat careful or I could see the zipper easily breaking. The bag is a decent size and it's cheap, those would be the pros. Falls apart way to easily, so it's not very well made and it's not durable. If you have boys and you want this to last, I'd say look for something else. If you don't care if you have to replace this in less than a year (as I'm having to do), then I guess it's worth it. This is why the title of my review is meh. The bag is meh.

I give this 4 1/2 stars I am very happy with this lunch bag and so are my children
I give this 4 1/2 starsI am very happy with this lunch bag and so are my children. It seems well made and is still in perfect condition after the three or so months we've been using it.It is a little on the large side and can be difficult to fit in a backpack with all the other school items. Although it could be carried on it's own neither myself or my children are interested in doing so as it is more of a hassle for them to carry it separately not to mention it is an extra item to forget about and leave behind. It might be nice to have a clasp on the strap so it could be connected to the outside of the backpack somehow perhaps the straps. That being said it is a nice size to fit a larger lunch for long days or older kids who will eat more. Other than the size I would give it five stars.

Best lunch bag !
I love this lunch bag. The size makes it easy to put your modular lunch containers in. It wipes up really easily and I have thrown it in the washing machine with no issues. I will be buying a few more.

Very disappointed. I've ordered this before a couple of years ...
Handles too short and it ripped on day 1. Plus the way it was sewn, seams showing inside, the bag leaked. Very disappointed. I've ordered this before a couple of years ago and it was much better quality the first time.

Zipper broke after only one month
This lunchbox zipper broke after only one month of using it. It was being used for school lunches by a grade 2 boy, but other lunchboxes I've used have at least lasted the year. Very disappointing as it was a perfect fit for the EasyLunchboxes containers, which I do love. I also purchased a 3 Sprouts lunchbag, which also fits the containers, for my daughter and it is better quality and still working great.
