This is a delightful story with a bit of magic sprinkled on the pages.
This is a delightful story with a bit of magic sprinkled on the pages. All I can tell you is to let it unfold. Don’t over think it, waste time trying to analyze, or look for pitfalls. Just roll with it and enjoy the magic. The chapters flit back and fourth between present day Laura and forty years ago Eunice before gradually merging into the present day. I admit, this took some concentration at first until I got used to the rhythm between Laura and Eunice. The main characters are gradually and meticulously developed. I felt a disconnection at first and then a gradual sense of an “ahha moment” looming. It kept me turning the pages and more importantly, thinking about the story after I had placed my bookmark and then finally closing the book.Sunshine is the sun of the story, who despite her handicap sees things so much more clearly than those around her. The Keeper of Lost Things is a weaving of many stories to create a literary picture of life with a touch of magic. What’s not to love?A Sunny ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delightful Story
A lot of characters and I was confused with the direction the story was taking. It is a story of love and loss. The characters were kind of quirky. My favorite character was Sunshine. The writer had me laugh out loud with some of the crazy things Sunshine would say. A story of hopes and dreams and disappointment. It is very sentimental and you will fall in love with the main characters.

The keeper of lost things
In this highly engaging novel, Hogan artfully crafts a story about lost friendship, lost siblings, lost parents and lost love. The "things" that people lose along the way pale in comparison.

So entertaining
I loved this book. The story is a delightful read. I will definitely be reading more from this author. The only problem I had was the continuous sentence of “a lovely cup of tea.” After a couple times, it just becomes annoying. I hope you’re taking heed, Ruth.

Catchy but a bit too perfect?
This one is a page turner but the ending seemed to wrap up too quickly and too perfectly? And the magical sense that Sunshine has? And why would Therese care about a medallion she gave Anthony so many years ago as a ghost? Seems a bit weird to me and not a reason a ghost would annoy anyone about…

Sweet story of lost and found
This is a story of people who are a little lost navigating through life and their journey finding their way. The story opens to introduce the character, Andrew, who is a older writer living a somewhat reclusive life. He hires a young woman, Laura, who is trying to reclaim her life after divorcing the man she married too young. She is glad to be rid of him and loving Andrew's house and lifestyle. Andrew has a study full of objects he has found over the years while he takes walks. He makes a note of where and when he finds each and every object with an intention of somehow returning the objects to its rightful owner. But he can't really figure out how to go about accomplishing this goal. I really don't want to tell any more of the plot but in my opinion, the author uses some clever devices to reveal her characters' stories. Most of them are very human and quite lovable and the people who are not lovable, are not featured for very long. It is a really sweet book, fun to read, and has a satisfying ending. It is a nice read and I did enjoy it.

Enjoyed reading it!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The short stories about the missing items are unusual and interesting. It just goes to show how every lost thing has so much to tell! Even Laura, Freddy and Sunshine were lost people who found each other. It is amazing how everything comes together at the end. I will definitely recommend this book to every age and genre of readers.

Magical
Couldn't find it in any bookstore in my town but Amazon helped me find it.As for the book, reading it gives you the feeling you get standing under the sun on a winter morning in a garden full of flowers. Even in its crescendo, it is as smooth as a wave toppling over before hitting the beach.
