I don't know but I've had this brush just over a month and the bristle head came out completely the 2nd time I washed it. I have numerous brushes purchased directly from Sigma that are a couple of years old. I have never had this happen before. I'm thinking fake.

Do y'all prefer to use this or the beauty blender sponge?

I prefer the Sigma F86 tapered kabuki brush to the beauty blender. I don't find the F80 to be good at getting in the corners and crevices of the eye.

is sigma really all it is cracked up to be? i mean for the price i would hope so but i am an aspiring make up artist, so bc of the price, it it worth

The price is much but its worth every penny. I've had my brushes since 2014/2015 and maintained them with regular hygienic cleansing. They still work amazingly well. Please note I'm not an eveyday makeup wearer maybe 3x per week.

Would this brush be helpful if applying a tinted moisturizer?

It's a terrible idea to put moisturizers in your brushes. Just use your fingers. Tinted moisturizer, BB cream, things like that don't need to be applied with a brush anyway.
