Is this large enough to cover a plus sized mom?

Not comfortably. I wear a medium/large and have a four month old who is 15lbs. This scarf is hard to maneuver around your body and the baby. I would not recommend it. The elasticity of the scarf goes vertically and not horizontally. As a scarf only it is pretty cute.

Where are the scarves made?

Hi. As a recent purchaser, I can tell you that the packaging says that these items are made in China. I don’t believe that they are shipped from China as I received mine within 3 days

what's the cloth size of the nursing scarf?

I can't tell you for sure because it was a gift for my granddaughter, but having seen her using it, I can tell you it seemed more than sufficient to cover her and baby comfortably.

Can you use this on the seat of a grocery cart?

These are not intended to be grocery seat covers. However they are large enough to maneuver and get some coverage on the seats.
