I find that, for fashion, one must typically sacrifice comfort, practicality, and durability. That is not the case with these shoes. They look great and feel great, too.Canvas shoes have flat bottoms and thus have no arch support. I have high arches, so usually flat soles translates into awkward stepping and discomfort. Not so with these shoes. I attribute this to how snugly they fit; when they're all laced up a large percentage of the surface area of the shoe is in direct contact with my foot. This means a large percentage of the mass of the shoe moves along with my foot, as opposed to being pulled along by the foot with each step. In a practical sense, this creates a "barefoot" effect, and indeed it feels like I'm not wearing any shoes at all.Additionally, they're well-aerated so my feet stay cool and don't sweat. The heel is high enough that the backs stay securely in place. They're light and very flexible. The fit was perfect; exactly as expected. Finally, they feel very solid, durable, and well-made. Not a shred of buyer's remorse for this impulse buy.

These shoes kind if hug my feet more than im used to.... but not in an uncomfortable way. They are my first pair of canvas converse and im really loving them. Stylish (although almost too popular these days) and really do feel like you are wearing slippers. I usually take my shoes off when I come into the house.. not to save my carpet but just to give my feet a break. Not with these. They do however have very little to no support.. its sorta like strapping some durable cardboard to your foot ovet your sock. So if you require support for leg or back issues, I wouldnt go for these. But otherwise excellent comfort. One reviewer said they are knockoffs... not sute what seller he purchased from but mine are genuine. It even has the patent number deep inside the shoe near the toe region.

i am on my 2nd pair of converse monochromes and these are the only shoes i wear and will ever wear. I wear them with jeans, i wear them with black slacks, i wear them playing basketball, etc. etc. etc. They look awesome, they are super comfortable, they don't get dirty and they last about 2 years with every day wear. I threw my last pair away because i kept wearing them even though they had holes in them because i liked them so much. Pretty much if i could buy a subscription to shoes where they would send me a new pair every year I would probably do it and then just never have to worry about footwear again.Actually, this is a good idea - converse send me a pair every year please

I have been a loyal Chucks-wearer for over 15 year. Bought my first pair back in high school and have always made sure that I have at least one pair. I bought these because I moved cross-country and left my other chuck behind. Long story short, the rubber toe separated from the canvas within about 6 months. This is INFURIATING because my the chucks that I left behind are over 10 years old, and are in WAY better condition. And mind you, I used to longboard in my old Chucks, while the new ones were strictly for walking. Honestly, seems like Converse is kinda phoning-it-in.

I'm kind of ridiculous about shoes. I love shoes. I have something of a collection of them, including several pairs of vintage boots, classy wingtips, loafers, and quite a range of various-colored sneakers.But I almost always just wear black Chucks, because they never go out of style and they're perfect for every occasion. They look good with everything. They've been my go-to shoe for over 25 years. Why switch now?

For years I never got a pair of "chucks" and finally decided to do so. I love them, obviously not much for support as expected but they are stylish and classic. I can't wear everyday because my feet get sore but these are ideal for flat footed folks like myself. I do find them a little narrow, but I have pretty wide feet.
