Presto 04835 Microwave Multi-Cooker, Black

This is my gluten free microwave cooking vessel. Super easy to use to make gluten free popcorn, gluten free rice ramen, and gluten free mac and cheese. I love the way that I can use the lid to strain my noodles/veggies. The small bottom makes it easy to sit it on the edge of my computer desk in front of my keyboard. The materials are super easy to clean but for someone with arthritis and/or a small sink, it would help if it were about 30% smaller. However, it does retain smells and the lid is a bit clumsy, it falls off easily. Also, I recommend being careful when pushing the bowl down to make a smaller bowl when food is already in it. I have had hot food go flying.I'm glad I bought it but I personally feel that $20 for one silicone/plastic bowl with a vented lid is asking a bit much.

I do not write reviews often, and I am certainly not a "Karen" type person that expects a perfect world. However I'm going to write this review because this device suffers from a defective design and I find it difficult to believe this product made it through design testing without this defect showing up and being rectified. I bought it for use as a "bacon cooker". The problem with it is it has a plastic double armed "bridge" that is supposed to be placed across the opening rim of the rectangular shaped receptacle and the bacon is draped across the arms of that bridge. But with the high heat of the bacon cooking (and maybe the microwaves' effect of the molecules of the plastic "rim" around the container, the "rim" deforms/extends lengthwise of the rectangular shape, making it longer, AND the plastic "bridge" that the bacon lays over isn't long enough to remain on its' "perches" on the rim. This causes the bridge to fall off it's perches on either side of the rim of the container and fall down in the bowl. so everything including the bacon slips off into the bottom of the bowl and your bacon cooks in a big lump in the puddle of grease at the bottom. I even tried re-forming the shape of the bowls' rim with a large woodworking clamp I had which helped it work a couple more times, but the same heat-expansion and warpage problems caused the same issue to come back. I now have a worthless piece of vinyl and plastic that I've lost hard earned money on and it's too late for me to return it. NOTE TO MANUFACTURER/SELLER, if you wish to provide me with an improved unit that won't have this defect, or provide me with a refund, I will edit this review to reflect your attempt at service quality. If not, I have no choice but to simply close this review by RECOMMENDING THAT NOBODY BUY THIS THING.

I love this product and I matter what I want it can handle it noodles, popcorn, or cafeteria disaster p, it stores, cooks goes from frig to microwave…love this so much. Oh yeah taught myself to use the chopsticks lol

I was looking for something silicone to microwave popcorn. Boy, did I get more than I wanted! Cooks pop corn beautifully, bacon ….. wow. Evenly cooked no mess, easy clean. I can cook or reheat ANYTHING. The size is big and fully collapsing for storage. It’s ventilated and seals so no mess. Perfect cooking.

I have only popped corn in the cooker, and am pleased with the finished product.

I been using my presto microwave multi cooker everyday since, for almost everything even cooking meats like sausage and hamburger even turkey and lots of other things I know how to steam even brown meat and even go texas style charred meat in this, thats the thing 5 minutes in 1250 watt microwave it steams everything 7 minutes it chars a little 10 minutes texas style meat, its good even made bread in this, only thing it needs a way to latch on the lid and needs a carrying strap that way it can be a lunch box.

After lots of research I finally decided to give this a chance. We got it for vacations and the ability to cook rice in the room. I know there are lots of microwave rice cookers but I wanted one to fit in a suitcase nicely. This worked perfectly. Thick material folds but holds up very well, no cracking so far like other folding bowls. I can’t speak to the bacon, but for making rice it works perfectly.

If u like crispy low grease bacon, buy this! My dad has been using the old basic mwave plate cooker w cover for years, and it's good, but this is better. Can see how great would be for college dorm use with ramen, but those years past, yet still like ramen, so trying that next. Great, simple, easy, and if u use bacon grease for cooking...mostly southern stuff, easy grease recovery to boot.

Best microwave popcorn ever. That is all I use this for and I really love it. Will never buy anything else to pop popcorn again. Highly recommend it and would buy again.
