A good dress shoe for the money
Not the best-built shoe in the market but at least half the price of goodyear welted shoes like Allen Edmonds. You get a nice leather soled-shoe that is comfortable out of the box and looks good. The leather upper is about half the thickness of a shoe like Allen Edmonds, so you can't realistically expect it to last as long. Since I am retired and don't wear dress shoes every day, this is good enough for me. But if you need to wear dress shoes all day, every day for work and don't want to have to buy a new pair every six months to a year, a better made shoe is more cost-effective over the long run at even twice the price or more. Although this shoe has a Blake welt construction rather than goodyear welt, you should be able to find a shoemaker that can resole the bottom when it wears out. But I can tell from the way that the upper wrinkles when worn that it will not last as long as a better-made shoe, so one resoling is about all I expect to get away with. This is the first time I have ordered shoes online and I was somewhat apprehensive that they would fit. But I ordered a 10e, which is my normal size, and they fit fine.

Good value, scuffs easily
Good shoe considering the price. The leather upper is not very thick. Scuffs very easily, but a quick polish hides all but deeper gouges (which may happen too). Keep trees in them or creases will definitely take hold. The dark brown color is very nice and the thin sole looks good and seems durable enough. Don't expect an investment type shoe here, but for an inexpensive, leather-soled dress shoe, this works well.

Fantastic shoes. Fit exactly as Florsheims have always fit me as an 11D
Fantastic shoes. Fit exactly as Florsheims have always fit me as an 11D. Very comfortable right out of the box as I bought them for a weekend wedding and wouldn't have time to break them in. No problem. Evening rehearsal dinner Friday and Saturday wedding. Feet felt fine at the end of it.These have an actual leather sole, not the rubber or rubber looking ones that lower/decent priced shoes seem to have. Just scratch it up a bit on the sidewalk the first time you wear them and you'll stop slipping on carpet.

Unbelievable value.
For the price, these shoes have held up impressively well. The upper looks good right out of the box. Not amazing, but it doesn't look or feel plasticy either. The upper is relatively thin and you will get some creasing, but a $10 set of shoe trees helps minimize the creasing and increase the life of the leather as well. (Seriously, don't bother buying these unless you're going to put shoe trees in them.) As a plus, the break in period was very short. The sole has worn amazingly well. I work in an urban area and typically have to walk a mile or more on sidewalks, streets, etc. I've been wearing these shoes 2-3 times a week for a couple years and the soles look like I'll get another 4-6 years of continued use out of them. I did have taps put on the toes, and I've had the heels redone at least once or twice. I bought these expecting to get 2-3 years of moderate use out of them, but at this point I expect to get at least twice that. The real downfall of these shoes is that I'll never be able to bring myself to spend $60 resoling a pair of shoes that cost me $80. This is my first pair of Florsheims, but I guarantee it won't be my last. My next pair I'll likely step up to their Imperial Collection and invest in a set of uppers that'll be worthy of a second sole.

Great design just disappointing quality
The treads attaching the cap toe have come loose on both left and right shoe. Amazon has given me no clear means of contacting them on this inferior execution of assembly. Great design just disappointing quality.

Excellent, simple cap toe oxfords
Excellent, simple cap toe oxfords. Super comfortable and great fit. And they look just like my Allen Edmonds. Best value in a quality shoe I've come across in a long time. Love them.

Garbage! Must be a KNOCKOFF!
These shoes do a disservice to the entire brand! I have been wearing the same pair of Florsheim oxfords for 3 years...I purchased them at a nice Men's Store for somewhere around $150. THOSE oxfords have a thick and durable but supple leather outer with a very nice inner lining...THESE Florsheim oxfords are made of "leather" that feels more like the faux leather material you buy to make a kids Halloween costume! This is the thinnest material I have ever seen a dress oxford made from! The finish, what little there was, was awful. The toe cap was jagged cut, and the sole stitching was pulling out. I was so disappointed...either Florsheim really went down the tubes, or else these are knockoffs...Amazon needs to do a little investigation prior to allowing some garbage like this come onto their marketplace...it will drive customers BACK to the brick and mortar stores! This is the 2nd pair of Florsheim's I've tried from this seller, and the first one, a monk strap, was bad as well...I'm giving it one more shot, on a more expensive model, but if that is bad, I'm calling it quits!

I like the shoes
I like the shoes, they fit well and are a nice dark brown. I wore them for a full day just one day after the brown truck dropped them off. I took one star off for fit and finish. The cap is not sheared smoothly on one of them and the stitching isn't awful but not of the level of Allen Edmonds. The come with a nice shine that seems to be pretty durable.
