A/B & Y Powered Pedal ...No fuss just works!
I have become a fan of JHS pedals because of the build quality and the performance. They just deliver as advertised in every way. I had an old AB/Y pedal that had a larger form factor. It was almost triple the size of this pedal. It was also "passive" without any power necessary but it didn't have active buffering. This pedal is powered and in an always on state. When powered it is either passing the input to A, B, or both with Y. For me, I have 2 that I use it for multiple purposes. I use one almost always as a splitter for multiple reasons. it's great to put right after the tuner to split to two separate paths with different effects, or one path clean to the USB interface and the other to the effects chain. I also will put it early on so use the same set up for bass or guitar but have the path split so "A" goes to my guitar effects and amp and "B" goes to my Bass effects and amp. It can also be used as the "Y" at the end of your path to send one to recording and one to your amp. PROS: I like that it's active and there is no loss of signal when it is split to two separate paths. I like the small size The sound quality is great you cannot tell the signal is getting split Cons: I wish it was square and not rectangle it is so small that when you have input and two output cables AND the power supply plugged in it keeps on wanting to flip over or pull over to the side. I could use velcro on the bottom which would probably help, but for my current set up I wish it would stay upright as is. 4 stars because the quality and performance is great but I get annoyed fussing with it to keep it from flipping over on its side.

Wuality not up to the price tag
This pedal seems fine most of the time but sometimes when I hit the switch it silences one of the amps I am switching on and I have to hit it 2 more times to get it to come on. Thats an eternity of silence when you are launching into a solo. Bought it in 2020 and its been intermittent for over 2 years. Never gigged it and never will because of this issue. Just cant trust it!
