Magic Mesh Double Door- Hands Free Magnetic Screen Door, Fits French & Sliding Doors 75 in x 83 in

If you’re even thinking about buying this - buy it. This is the best think for a party, people with dogs and kids. Keeps out the flies and other bugs. Super easy to install - way easier than I thought to install and stays up great. Don’t overthink it, just put a few of the stickers on the sides and the long strip on the top and put the screen up. Comes with tacks too but I didn’t even need them.

After much research, measuring, and comparison, we purchased and installed this mesh screen 5 months ago. It seemed like the perfect solution to the mosquito problem in our area and would (in theory) keep out any flying pests trying to enter our living space. The location where we installed the mesh netting has low-medium traffic. Usage is approximately two days a week with 10-15 entry/exits per day. The weather in our area ranges from 35 (winter)-110 (summer) degrees. Here are our pros and cons on the product. Pros: Practical- I love the fact that the entry is on one side. We only use one French door, so this made the most sense. Easy to Install- Installation was quick, and the instructions were pretty straightforward: measure, add adhesive/Velcro strips to mesh, stick mesh with Velcro strips onto trim, and reinforce with pins (this can be optional for those who prefer to not puncture holes in trim). I was able to do this on my own without assistance. Within 5 minutes, it was installed and ready for use. Cons: Magnet Closure- The magnets will meet and close the screen if they fall directly in line with in another. We found the preferred to attach themselves to our metal door instead, allowing plenty of space for bugs to make their way in. You will likely need to help guide the magnets back to one another to ensure it is kept closed. This was difficult to keep track of when kids are running in and out. Durability-We did not use the doorway until the second month after installing. Once we started using the doorway, one of the magnets fell and could not be reattached. Hopeful, we reached out to Amazon to seek a replacement for the magnet, but we did not receive a response. A month ago, we noticed the corner had separated from the lining, and the Velcro adhesive is melting already; we are still 20 degrees under our high point. This product needs design adjustments to help improve quality and durability. It was great in theory, but unfortunately, we are back to researching for a better alternative.

Fits sliding glass door great my only complaint is it has no tieback for if you wanna leave it open and instead of Velcro, it has tape so we changed out the tape for the Velcro

I liked how this was thoughtfully designed for a double door, with the slit off center as most people have a primary door to enter through. It was just the perfect size and can be trimmed to fit other standard double door sizes. Application required no tools as they were all stickers and Velcro. That said, I could’ve done with a few more small pieces of velcro to secure the sides of the mesh. They give one long piece for the top but just 4 small strips for each side. This left some gaps between and I made the mistake of not securing it closer to the ground so it flaps around. After one day of use, I found the sides detached as the adhesive wasn’t strong enough so I had to re-stick it back on. The threads along the opening do start to shed so you need to make sure to trim them off otherwise you might make it worse coming and going. But it does the job allowing my kids the freedom to come and go without me reminding them to close the door behind them to prevent bugs from flying in. So I am pleased overall for the price and function.

Bought this & then forgot where I put it. Fast forward 3 years, “Found it”, only issue is it’s not wide enough for my Slider. Lacks hitting jam by about 4”. Had to apply “Hook & Loop” to glass. Update: after installing, I was hoping it would work well as a pet door. Unfortunately it does not stand up to their in and outs. Top tore apart, hook & loop kept getting pulled apart. Had to use duct tape to secure magnets in place where it ripped. Now looking for something stronger. Another issue is trying to carry something in and out becomes next to impossible because screen hangs up on everything.

Very pleased with this product that we use on our shed to get air circulated while working in it, that has been converted into an 'office'. It is so nice to keep the doors open, without worrying about bugs or other critters coming in. It is very sturdy and durable and the magnets snap back together automatically after going through the mesh. It even provides a sort of privacy screen, as you can't see clearly what is inside from the outside. Highly recommend!

I guess it is hit or miss with this item. We got one from a friend about a year ago, maybe almost 2, and really liked it. Worked great. But didn't last long, and we wanted to replace it. Got one, but was in no hurry to put it up until it got to be outside party season. Tried to install it today, and was super disappointed. Completely different. "Front" of magnets are now pointed the wrong g way, and it is not "cut" square so magnets do not close properly. Also, it seems the size is just a hair off. I cut this panel EXACTLY like I cut the first, and it is almost a full inch off. I have now wasted $20 and completely upset with it. I am going to HAVE to buy another, and try again. Like I said, hit or miss. Do all you can to predict the size, and hope you cut it correct or you also will spend another 20 bucks learning like I did...don't trust the past, since this item is not the same as a year ago.

Well, it was cheap. As others have noted, the magnetic closures are pathetically weak and ineffective

I hate how it assembles to the door. I wish it was designed a little bit better

Was easy to install but when I did, found one large and several smaller holes in the screen.
