The Art of Leather Burning: Step-by-Step Pyrography Techniques Kindle Edition

This book has a lot of great information about pyrography on leather. It includes information on various levels of burning equipment, practice exercises, projects with patterns and simple leather craft techniques. Also there is great information on how to enhance the pyrography with color.I recommend not buying the kindle version - resizing the text and zooming in does not work on the pc and android tablet version for me. I have not tried an actual kindle or smart phone version. The text was so small to be unreadable for me on my pc. Additionally I see no way to actually use the patterns on the kindle version.Having said that - the publisher Dover Publications has a version in their digital store. I bought that version also. The Dover version is zoomable and it looks like the patterns can be printed out. They send coupons to my inbox periodically so it gets pretty close to the kindle price.5 stars for the author and content - a lot fewer for the kindle.

The illustrations are great and got a lot of new ideas out of this book. Do not recommend buying electronic version since there were times when page did not show up properly. Get the paper back version and I am sure you’ll enjoy this book.

This set is not high end, but it certainly works. I've used it to watch designs and create textures in my leather work. They come to temp quickly.Keep some 400 grit sandpaper close by. They need to be cleaned regularly when used with leather. No idea how these work on wood.

Love everything that Lora Irish does. I think I have all her woodburning books. I always encourage people of all skills to buy her books and check out her website when I do demos on woodburning.

Good book. Some great ideas and designs.

Have done lots of wood burning so it was interesting to see leather burning. Good tips which work for both leather and wood. Lots of ideas for beginners.
