Prepara Herb Savor Pod 2.0, Set of 3,White

Really love these! They keep my items fresh for weeks and don’t clutter the fridge. The design is pretty great though it’s all plastic and the little door isn’t the best at staying shut. That’s fine though I just use the rubber band from the herb bundle to hold it closed and mark what the herb is. Some different size options would be great for things like asparagus and green onions which can get annoying trying to make everything fit in one but other than that they are pretty awesome

If I had a place to grow herbs, I would. But I don't, and so I'm always buying bunches at the grocery to use in a single dish. If I don't make the effort to preserve them (process them into a paste and freeze in an ice cube tray for "fresh" frozen herb bricks or, in the case of mint and rosemary, leaving them out to dry), after a few days I'll be sadly tossing out the limp and/or rotting remainders. To keep herbs fresh for more than 2 days, I've tried wrapping them in a barely damp paper towel and storing in the vegetable bin, or standing the bunch in a jar with a bit of water and covering with a plastic bag to make a "greenhouse". Both have proven pretty iffy. So when I saw these pods, I was ready to give them a shot, even if I doubted they'd work. When I unpacked them, I found my self nursing a spark of hope -- probably because they look so much like the astronaut cryo pods in every space movie ever made :) I tested them out on leftover bunches of basil and asparagus. Four days later, I used a few of the asparagus -- which looked fresh as they had on day 1; the basil also still looked great. The basil made it through a full week, which is a record in my house. And the asparagus are miraculous -- still firm and fresh after 10 days. I'm thrilled to pieces! I expect results to vary, of course but, based on these 2 tests, I'm ready to say that these pods are miles better than anything else I've tried -- and I'm already recommending them to friends.

So I am using 2 out of the 3 that came in the packaging for now since i don't have the space for all 3. They are a decent size and kinda tall so in a regular size fridge not the fancy double door, it fits best on the door which keeps the produce inside cool but not frozen. If u have large bunches of parsley or scallions u almost have to squish them in. I had to cut off the tops of my scallions in order for them to fit. The clasp on this product could be tighter which would prevent it from popping open if there is too much of the produce. I do like it though and I like that I can refill with water from the back and not have to open it.

Ok, first let me start of a positive note. These pods have worked well for keeping my cilantro fresh and usable for a good couple of weeks. And that is a plus. These get a little trickier for many other herbs I store. They don’t work at all for chives. No matter how I’ve tried to store Basil, in or outside the refrigerator, basil doesn’t store well in these pods. But, the biggest problems I have with these pods are they are top heavy and the doors do not make a good connection so they do not stay closed very well. Which can lead to one knock in a refrigerator and water is spilt. One really must be either extremely well organized in their refrigerator or have the perfect family, who is very adept at carefully going through the refrigerator and carefully moving these around while getting out what they are looking for, which leads me back to them being top heavy. Even the most skilled human can still accidentally knock these pods down while moving items in the refrigerator just due to their shape etc. I will continue to use them, since I just recently made my purchase. But, I think they will lose their appeal. If the company works out details, there is room for improvement and they might be worthy of more stars. They aren’t a total waste. After all they have managed to keep some of my herbs fresh longer than had I kept them in the original packaging I purchase them in at the store.

These work miracles on your fresh herbs and green onions, I now have four and I don't know how I lived without them! With only two of us in the house we don't go through our fresh produce fast enough and I was buying green onions each week because they would go bad but I almost always cook with them. My green onion bunch now lasts about 2-3 weeks with the herb savor! However, don't fumble these. I dropped one and it hit the tile and broke off the little tab that keeps them closed. My fault and I can still use the product, just have to use a rubber band to keep it closed.

They work great to store my fresh herbs

It's a great concept but these suck... Doors won't close good, they barley hold anything, cheaply made, they're too tall so they're hard to fit in some refrigerators... I had to drop my top shelf down. The worst thing is they're too small and the door thing is a no go for me. If they were bigger and held more they would work great... Don't waste money on these... I'm returning.

These pods are amazing! I LOVE the design! Not only do they keep the herbs fresh, changing out the water is a breeze with the little spout in the back! I used to hate draining and changing the water when I just stored herbs in glass jars. Now it takes a few seconds and no mess! Also the whole thing looks very chic in the fridge and my herbs have been fresh for 2 weeks with no sign of wilting. Highly recommend!

It is a good product but the closing door is a problem.

Cocino mucho con cilantro y en estos recipientes me han durado más del mes. Claro, hay que cambiarles el agua cada semana. MUY BUENOS. CÓMPRELOS SIN TEMOR ALGUNO.

This product was a quick gift for a family member who has quite a prolific herb garden often needing to keep them fresh, great for when they are travelling too. Even looking to purchase for the elderly in our family 🙂
