Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32 bit - System Builder OEM DVD

I purchased this for my Emachines computer, that I had recently repaired. After 8 wonderful years of usage, it crashed saying disc drive 3 had malfunctioned. When disc drive 3 was replaced, I lost everything on my pc, even Windows. This came in the mail with a letter of instructions, and the link to a website that would guide me through the process. I was worried at first that it would be difficult because the instructions said that it would be. Honestly, it wasn't. After pulling up the instructions link, I got started, and it was very easy, almost TOO easy lol. Now my computer is back up and running like brand new. I'm a happy customer :)UPDATE*** I have momentarily changed my 5 stars to 3 stars, for the following reason. This morning, March 9th of 2020, after installing this purchase of Windows 7 on the evening of March 5th 2020, I just received a notification from Windows that says "The Windows 7 Home Premium product key you typed is invalid for activation, to activate windows, you will need to use the automated phone system." I will be contacting the seller and inquiring to resolve this, as I am certain I correctly input the Windows product key that came attached to the DVD-rom sleeve that I received this product in. I may edit this review again after inquiring with the seller on a resolution to fix this.UPDATE 3/16/20 - I received a reply from seller on 3/10/20. Was informed that Microsoft has been doing this to try to force people into buying Windows 10 instead. They offered to refund me or send me Windows 10 if, I had decided to try the phone method and had no luck with the automated phone system. Today, 3/16/20 (was in the hospital recently so couldn't get to it until today) I called the automated number and went through the asinine process to verify my Windows key. It seems as though it was successful. I don't want to call it "Done" for sure, since last time I was notified by Microsoft, it took them 3 and a half days after the initial installation to inform me there was a "Problem." However, the seller thus far has been fully cooperative and understanding of the situation, which is not their fault, and they have no control over. I'm changing my rating back to 5 stars as this seller seems completely competent, regardless of the curve-balls Microsoft is throwing at their business and their customers.I endorse this seller. 5 stars.

The disc came in a simple dodgy packaging - no box and all this for a $125 USD which felt like a real rip off. It is infuriating for people who just had a clean sweep of their hard drive. I loaded up my laptop after installing Windows 7 and the screen resolution was lossy and looked nothing like what it used to be. There were zero drivers and I couldn't even connect to the internet using a LAN cable because the settings were set to MODEM dial-up. This set me wondering what's wrong with this version of windows? Is this a scam? Is this even a real copy of Windows? There were no Windows 7 drivers on the official Microsoft download site nor were the Intel official site drivers working. I had to spend hours searching for drivers from unofficial sites trialing and erroring for hours until the compatible drivers were found. Anyone who faced my problem would greatly appreciate some pointers as to where to get these Window 7 drivers for various types of PCs/ laptops.

A while back I got a desktop from Amazon advertised as having 7 it had 10 the company said send it back if you are not happy! Refused to send 7 disk so I had to buy this to up grade to Windows 7! So no I am not happy that I had to buy what should have been include with the computer.

I just tried to install and it is blank and not working. I have had this in the package til now and it does not work. Unfortunately I waited too long to exchange or refund. 90 bucks down the drain. Thanks a lot Amazon.

Lost your boot up disk and win 10 file name length error driving you nuts? Miss when a pc was a pc and not a fad fading tablet simulator. Ya this fix’s that old pc that stilleork and you need to boot up now and then to get those old wipes and hardware running again.

The install was easy but when you run a simple diagnostic found out that the usb ports did not work it was simple to repair nothing major but you still have to check that's all.

Installation of the OS went well without any issues. Fairly smooth.
