The sacrificial anode rod is a key component in water heaters. The minerals attack the anode rather than the heater elements and your water tank. It's important that this gets replaced before it's completely shot. This is a good value and they seem to work as intended. Usually after 1 year of service, I can see quite a bit of degradation and this tells me that it's doing its job. Campgrounds typically have very hard water and who knows what else. Having an extra on hand just gives me peace of mind. Just FYI: It's not common knowledge that even in residential water heaters the only difference between the 5-year warranty water heater and the 10 or 15-year warranty water heater is mostly just the diameter of the anode rod. By replacing the anode rod before it's completely gone, you can extend the life of your water heater significantly assuming you perform regular maintenance by flushing it.

Just what we needed! We had a last minute trip and realized our anode ride was nothing but bone so we needed an anode rod fast. This arrived just in time for our trip and the price was unbeatable. We have a keystone hideout bunkhouse travel trailer and we use it a LOT! We go to rv campsites where the water can be very hard, so we always change our anode rod yearly. The fact that this is a two pack makes it an easy buy, and at such a great price! These are easy to install, I just empty my tank, unscrew the old one, tape, and screw in the new one. It fits nice and snug, and we never had any issue with leaking. Our Rv water heaters is expensive to repair, so we want to be sure we are doing everything possible to protect our water heater. These hold up nicely compared to other models I've tried. And it's just a great option if you take your RV out as much as we do.

These will work as described but…. When purchasing, the seller claimed to be US made business. I thought as described these were American Mfg. like said, these will most likely work as others just didn’t like being duped into a US Product when clearly not.
