Cavex ColorChange Alginate - Fast Set (2)

I make my own dentures and this is the only alienate I use. I prefer the mint, only because it doesn’t smell or taste dental office like. Works great. Highly recommend.

This stuff is really neat to experiment with. I used it to make a small life cast and the detail was incredible. A word of advice, if you’re using it for the same thing I did, get a cheap bullet blender and put 100g of the powder in and fill with distilled water then blend it for a few seconds. This way it gives you more working time before it hardens.

I used this for casting a model of my ducks leg so I could build her a brace. Needed to set fast because she’s squirmy! Worked awesome, not hot, soft pliable mold, makes perfect replicas.

I bought this for some life casting. Not a whole lot of info on mixing this for that reason but I found that if you double the water it’s much easier to use for the purpose I used it for. Still sets just as quick tho so be ready but you can pour it into your container. If you go with the standard 7g/15ml water it’s too thick. I went 7/30, used a blender to speed up mixing and poured it in. Took about 1.5 minutes to set so have everything ready!

Product works well. Exactly as intended. Please be aware that they are not joking about the working time. Have you equipment ready in advance.

Difficult to get the mixing done quickly as it sets in 21/2 min. There is two bags though so eventually you will get it right without clupingi used it for teeth impressions and sometimes it worked out but would tear or break when pulling out the plaster of Paris casting I was making. If I used it twice , that was it. I couldn’t use it again.
