I have been ordering these walnuts now for some time as I am trying to increase my intake of Omega-3. I always buy the larger size, which sells out frequently. The larger bag has been unavailable several times. That should tell one something about the product! On two occasions that the larger bags were unavailable ( much more economical to buy the larger) I ordered different brands. I will not mention the names, but one was FULL of shells and other debris. The other LOOKED VERY NICE, but they tasted old and stale. I have learned my lesson. If unavailable, I will wait until they are! These are the BEST raw walnuts I have ever eaten! Fresh, no shells or debris, and it is a pleasure to grab a handful to munch! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND those brand. The best I have found! I hope they never go out of business. The others I ordered were $4-$5 less in price, but that is pointless if one cannot enjoy eating them. I am happy to pay $5 more - every penny is worth it! Nice to see a truly QUALITY product on Amazon, as many products from there are of inferior quality and a waste of money. **************************** ***UPDATE*** I have been ordering these walnuts now for months & they have ALWAYS been fresh & delicious - EXCEPT FOR THIS LAST BATCH! Stale, old tasting, inedible and BROKEN BADLY - as if one literally scraped the bottom of the barrel! DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED, but they did not go to complete waste - I gave them to the squirrels and birds. ******If I receive another batch like this, you will lose a customer!***** I have told several people how delicious these walnuts are - may have spoken too soon!

Not easy to find walnuts that are peanut free, and when making a dish going to a house where someone has a severe reaction to peanuts, these walnuts are my go to. They have a wonderful flavor. Hold up in a creamy salad, keeping their crunch even days later. I've bought them for a traditional dish three Thanksgivings in a row.

I have purchased these nuts before, they were delicious, beautiful nuts. However, this time I got a bad batch. Over half of the nuts were not edible. They were shriveled, dry, black. They looked old like maybe the bottom of the barrel. Only about 1/3 of the 3 lb bag was edible. You can see from the pictures, a plate full of inedible nuts, and a comparison between the good and bad nuts. Very disappointed!!
