Bottom line, it works really well BUT the application is just not for me. Too messy, too inconvenient. The scent is very mild, which is acceptable but, I really love a good fresh scent that I can smell occasionally. I plan on trying the stick deodorant and I’m hoping it will work as well.

I am shook at how well this deodorant works! Even my husband was like, what the heck how? He’s not a natural deodorant guy and thought this stuff was super weird but now he’s a fan. I didn’t buy it for him though lol I just had him try it. This is my third natural clean deodorant I’ve tried and was super skeptical as the last 2 weren’t great. I tried Truvani’s scent free & Christopher’s organics lavender. Both left me feeling sweaty (which I expected because they’re not antiperspirants) and also with BO within a couple hours. I’d always have to reapply. I even tried adding essential oils to them and any scent seemed to accentuate the BO. I was starting to feel self conscious because now we’re hitting summer in AZ and it’s already 100° in May. I would also use Megababe space bar which is an underarm detoxifying charcoal bar so I know I was getting my underarms clean and free from bacteria but I was still getting BO as soon as I get hot. I don’t sweat much anywhere else but my underarms stay hot when I’m staying active and busy as a mom and hairstylist s I’m always moving around constantly. But this deodorant WORKS!!! Like it actually works. I have ZERO BO. I stay drier as well! It’s crazy! I haven’t had T even think about worrying about stinking. I forgot all about it yesterday. I worked all day, came home and tended to my chickens in the AZ heat, then went to a pool party. I finally had a thought to smell myself that evening and NOTHING at all and I was dry too! My husband said the same. He went on a walk in the late morning when it was hot out. He was sweaty everywhere except his armpits and no smell at all! The application is weird and different I’ll admit but it so so worth it! It stays mixed for the most part for me and doesn’t separate. I still mix it though to be safe. A little bit goes a long way and love that it washes off so easily too!

I'll start with the bad. The fact that you have to stir this before every use can get annoying. I recently had my little stir stick that comes with the product break in half because I was in a rush and trying to stir too quickly. If the stick falls in, it gets covered in the oil that separates on top and you have to try to hold this tiny stick with slippery fingers. Might want to get a Popsicle stick or something else to stir it with. Also, after continued use I have noticed some darkening of my pits, and it is residue left behind. I do scrub with soap & washcloth but it does not fully remove it. To be fair, I get this with all of the natural deodorants I've tried so I'm used to it. I exfoliate weekly to remove the build up. Important to note that this is not an antiperspirant like others have mentioned, so you will still have wetness.Now on to the pros. This is hands down the best deodorant I've tried, natural or not. I have very sensitive skin in my pits and an allergic to a lot of deodorants, but this one has not caused me any issues even though they have essential oils which I was worried about. Even though I still sweat the same, my armpits do not smell like anything. Like not even a hint of a bad smell. I live in Phoenix and I'm a big lady, and let me tell you if I forget to put on deodorant I will begin to smell within 20 minutes. I was so surprised at how well it eliminates odor that I had my mom sniff my pits and she confirmed they did not smell like anything. In this spirit of honesty, since we've been in quarantine I usually shower once every 2-3 days and this deodorant will easily last me 48 hrs without needing to reapply. So yes the jar is small but it lasts so long and you only need a small amount so it will last quite a while, at least a month or 2. I have the floral scent which is pleasant but honestly the scent wears off rather quickly and it's almost like an unscented deodorant at that point. I have found it dries fairly quickly. I usually put it on right after showering, then apply body lotion & do my hair & such and by then it's dried.Overall, I think the hassle of stirring is worth it for the quality of the product. I believe they also sell a stick version which would eliminate the stirring problem, but I've not tried it because I'm worried the quality might not be the same. This is a great odor eliminator so if you don't mind a little stirring and pit wetness, this is one of the best products out there.

This wasn't a very easy deodorant to use. It comes with a small spatula that stays in the the jar. You mix with that and use it to get some of product. I put it on one hand and got water on the other, rubbed them together and applied. Even with this diluted product, my underarms got very red and irritated. I think there is too much baking soda. I could have put up with the unhandy application if it wasn't so irritating. Too bad it was past the return date when I realized it was the deodorant irritating my underarms.

I'm so lost for words right now! I am in love with this! It's been two days and so far it's lasted me just over 24 hours per application. I am a big sweater and this smells incredible and honestly works! I didn't realise that in using antiperspirant I was just making it worse but in using this, even once the nice smell wore off I still didn't smell awful I just had a light body odour that really wasn't offensive as it usually was. I have recommended this to a bunch of my friends and hopefully they take this seriously and bring you business as well. Thank you so much for making such an amazing product thank you thank you thank you! I really can't thank you enough this has helped me with my confidence when going out on hot days I don't have to worry so much. even just with doing housework I would sweat profusely this has really changed my life as much as the diva cup changed my monthly struggle you guys rock please keep making this :-)

I've been on the hunt for a natural deodarant and I've been happiest with purely great so far.It's important to note that natural deodorants to not prevent sweating but do control odor. After a brief detox period off my antiperspirant (a day or two) this stuff really works. I apply after showering and will find now that I don't smell like 24 hours later, and often don't apply it every day. I mostly just use it right after showering.It's a little messy having to reach in and grab my spatula to mix it all together before use. But, since it actually works its worth it.ALSO I do not recommend using the same day as shaving which can be tricky. It states on the container to not use "immediately after shaving" I waited like 3 hours... still too soon. Burning and itching. But.... the next day after shaving. No problems. But again when I use this exclusively it has regulated by armpits so well that I can usually go that day and not worry about it!I got the lavendar scent. Would recommend and would purchase again.

The scent is strong, a nice lavender if you like it. Comes in a little 1.76 oz jar with a little spatula for application.Unfortunately the texture and residue after applying is very sticky, even when using the tiny spatula, you still get residue in your hands and i don't like that feeling.I love the fact that is 100% natural and aluminum free but i hate the consistency and for that reason i will not recommend it or buy again.I wanted to try this as it is slightly less expensive as the one i use but i prefer to pay a little more. Try Clean Kiss brand, is also 100% natural, aluminum free, vegan, not tested on animals, smells delish and the texture is wonderful - no sticky residue.Unfortunately i was not able to return this PurelyGreat deodorant - dissapointing as it is Amazon Prime.

Update: so sad to share that after about a month of using this product I've developed an allergic rash. I wanted to love this product so badly.Update: it's been about 2 weeks using this product and I love it. Honestly think I'm going to dispose of all my previous natural deodorant products and stick with this one.The deodorant doesn't stop you from sweating but it's made a HUGE difference in terms of odor. I am in disbelief how well it works, I don't smell at all no matter how much I've sweat. The only possible negative is that it stings a bit if I use it after shaving, probably because of the baking soda. But otherwise not irritating, easy to wash off, and keeps me feeling fresh as promised.I have only used this product once so far but will update should my review change.I have been using natural deodorants for a few years now, but never the kind you apply with your fingers before. So far the smell is nice (not too strong), and I don't mind the texture or application.I've docked one star because I believe the packaging would benefit from a better design. The container comes with a stir stick inside but it's pretty much covered in the deodorant when you first open it. I would recommend the stick being packaged outside the container and a bit longer to make mixing a bit less messy.

This is the best deodorant I have ever tried! I have bought every deodorant on the market, natural and non natural, no deodorant has kept me fresh all day! Body odour is something nobody talks about, but everyone deals with. When I discovered this discovered this deodorant, I recommended it to all my friends. When applying this deodorant you have the confidence that You will be fresh all day. When using it for the first time , you’re skin might be irritated as mentioned from other reviews. Although, This occurs when changing to any natural deodorants due to the different ingredients, this only occurs maybe the first times of usage but the benefits outweigh. My friends that I recommended the deodorant to didn’t get irritated. They all love this deodorant and now ask me for product recommendation . I never tried the deodorant stick, it’s next on m’y list. It would be more convenient for travelling. I use the lavender, fresh clean scent not overpower. I finally found a deodorant that works, please never stop making this! Recommended to all.
