Exact replacement
Just what I needed. Some how I lost the cap. Not sure how since I never removed it. Not really a reason to ever remove it unless you need to replace the bolt and washer. The new cap had blue lock tight applied so I am hopefully it won’t unscrew it self and fall off again. As for the washer and bolt guess it’s good to have a spare. It came in SRAM factory packaging.

I was hesitant to order because it doesn’t have a picture of the product. But i am relieved that it was what i expected, the original Sram dub self extracting bolt.

Necessary…..but easily lost
I have to buy another cap because the one I had fell out. That seems to be a general problem with these caps. Make sure you order the right one, because the Eagle MTB caps and road caps are different. It installs easily and fits the crank well. You’ll need a special tool, or a chainring wrench to cinch the cap up. Hopefully the third time will be the charm in keeping it from being lost.

Not An Allen Key Cap!
The part is technically what I needed, but the photo for the listing made me think that I would be getting a self-extracting cap with an ALLEN KEY fitting, but it came with the spanner notches, which is the exact problem I had with the original part because if the cap seizes, it has to be carefully machined out, and replaced. I ordered this part specifically to avoid that issue in the future. PLEASE CHANGE THE PHOTO!
