A Sloucher's Life Changer!
This product has helped me achieve what I never thought was possible! I began slouching when hitting a growth spirt to 6.2 in my teens. A Dr. did say that some of my lower back vertebrates were underdeveloped in my 20's after some x-rays which would explain a lack of natural support for my spine. I went to several chiropractors hoping they could correct my slouching by getting adjustments. Yes, they cracked "adjusted" my back. but this never helped my posture or slouching, even after repeated visits. In my early 30's I was rear ended by a drunk driver causing the discs in the underdeveloped lower vertebrates which permanently herniated several disks between them making the condition worse. At this point, I had just accepted I would always be a sloucher and was just bad roll of the genetic dice. I work in I.T. also and sit at a computer desk all day every day and have been for the last 20 years which also likely has made things worse. A coworker had mentioned her daughter started wearing a back brace provided by a Physical Therapist to correct her posture, so I searched and this one seems to be the best back brace on Amazon. It definitely is worth paying the extra money compared to the cheaper more light weight ones on Amazon. I've had it for almost 3 weeks and have had drastic improvements in my posture which I never thought possible! It can be seen under my clothes a bit. The metal rods in the back can slide about half an inch up when you make certain movements and you have to back and push them back down in their slots which is no big deal. I live in FL so you do sweat a bit more cause you have to wear an under shirt, then the brace, then your work or regular shirt. In cold climates, I don't think it would do anything but help keep you a bit warmer. If you don't wear the under shirt, the shoulder straps will leave a red mark on them once tightened so I recommend not doing that. I'm now 41 and finally sitting up straighter at my desk, in my car, at the gym and when walking (even without the brace on) after almost 3 weeks. For me, this is life changing and like a miracle. It has helped with my self confidence and lessened my lower back pain from the herniated discs. Because I wanted to see results so much, I wore this for the 1st week the entire time (even when sleeping). The only time I took it off was when I showered. I must warn you, if you slouched pretty much your entire life like I have, the initial couple weeks will be painful because your muscles have to stretch and strengthen in their new position. I admit I really wanted to take it off due to the transitional pain, but now that my spine and muscles have adjusted, I don't feel that pain anymore and going through that week or so was 1000% worth it. If I quit wearing it at home or out now at the 3 week mark, I will tend to start slouching a bit more, but also can tell a huge difference in how much straighter I'm standing vs. before. I continue to adjust it straighter and straighter and now positioning the straps to hold my shoulders back more. That being said, you can think of this like braces on teeth. every couple days , you can adjust it to make your posture better and better as your muscles stretch and strengthen into their new position. Going to the gym and doing around 30 minutes of cardio or a couple mile jog after each repositioning helps the muscles strengthen into the straighter posture quicker and I recommend that. I'm looking forward to continuing to improve my posture over the next couple months and regularly at work to keep my spine and muscles from trying to revert back to a slouch. This thing is worth its weight in gold if you really want to correct slouching! The only real con so far after the 3 weeks is the Velcro on the waste isn't holding very well anymore. I explained this in the return order in customer support and they are sending me a new one and I will just mail this one back once the new one arrives. That actually may even be a pro instead of a con because it has been a great product and customer support was great. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with this product. I wish I would have had it 20 years ago!

Useful product!
This product does a good job, overall, of upper and lower back support. It is comfortable, and it fits well. (The size chart provides a good guide for fit.) The biggest drawback is that it is very difficult to put on without assistance. The reason is that the straps that come down from the shoulders, cross behind the back and meet in front, can slip out of their loops on the back of the brace. If this happens, it is very difficult to put them back in place while wearing the brace.

This is the ONE!
While looking at the myriad of back braces/posture correctors On Amazon, I came across the JNTAR brand. This is the only one I found (under $100) that had everything that I was looking for. (1) Stretchy elastic Velcro to support my lower back. (2) metal bars to stabilize my spine. (3) Posture correction for my slouching shoulders. From time to time, I have suffered from lower back problems. I own about 6 different styles of lower back braces I find that the kind that have the extra elastic wrap with Velcro work best to support my lower back pain. I’ve had lower back braces with bars and like those so when I saw that this one had bars on the full length of the back, I really got interested. As far as the shoulder/posture correction for me this was a bonus, my slouch is not really noticeable but, I know that I most times don’t sit properly (probably why I have back problems), I find that this back brace/posture corrector is perfect for me. According to their size chart I would fit a L1 size but I opted for the L2 ( which is longer and offers more lower back support). But the L2 size was not in stock. I wrote an email to make a request and got an answer in minutes! The next day I emailed another question and again in minutes I got a reply, they even emailed me on the third day to let me know it is now in stock, (I love this company) Lo and behold in the week it took to arrive (I live in Hawaii that is normal shipping time) I hurt my back playing softball, this arrived right on time. The brace stabilized my back, spine, and made me sit properly speeding my recovery. After only two days of use, I got in my truck (without the brace) and made a major adjustment in my rear view mirror. I’m sitting up straighter, and not slouching like I used to. To sum it up: for me this is a Godsend. Quality product, quality company, everything my back needs thank you JNTAR.

Effective but Needs Better Should Straps
The brace itself does a good job of holding you in the correct postural position. However, the shoulder straps are too narrow. They roll in on themselves and cut into the front of the shoulder. The straps should be wider and have more padding to increase comfort. I ended up putting rolled up washcloths under the straps to reduce the cutting effect. I would suggest anyone else ordering this product, also order seat belt pads like you would for your car too.

Specification for size was wrong.
I am senior ( Retired Aerospace Engineer) with lower back pain. I have waist size 34. Therefore,I purchased JNTAR back Brace Posture M/I J2301, which is made in Ukraine. Product description is wrong for my size. I do not know if seller knows this problem or tested this product. It has following problems. 1. Waist supporting large belt does not have adequate overlap to interlock both ends. 2. Shoulder belts are not long enough to cross in back and come in front to lock buckle. 3. Very uncomfortable to wear and sit in the chair. I do not recommend to follow seller's described information for your size. I can not use this product.

What a relief! What an improvement!
I have had occasional thoracic back spasm for 20+ years. The past 4 months it has gotten so much worse. I can only stand and walk for 15-20 minutes before spasms in my mid back. The medicine I need to take for relief makes me sleepy. I researched and read 3 stars and lower reviews of various back correctors and I decided to give this a try. I've only had it for 3 days and my life has changed for the better. I was able to stand and take a walk for 45 minutes, go grocery shopping, and cook dinner. Once you adjust the shoulder straps, they stay adjusted so there is no re-adjusting each time you wear the brace/corrector. The directions are easy to follow. I didn't find the shoulder strap uncomfortable and they never dug into my skin the way other back braces/correctors do. If they dig into your skin, make them a little looser. I am no longer walking slightly bent forward because the rods are keeping my back straight. My shoulder are not rounded although they are not 100% back but the improvement is noticeable. I am loosing weight and will eventually replace this as needed.

Great brace for the money!!!!
So my fiance loves this back brace. She's been having lower and mid upper back issues due to slouching and wanted to correct her posture. Well I scoured the internet and arrived at this brace. When I unboxed it I instantly noticed the quality of the materials. The band's for the waist are a stiff cloth with elastic that really squeeze around your mid section to support your lumbar and to pull the back brace into your back. The metal shanks are stiff and removable if desired. The shoulder straps are very adjustable and you can adjust them to your comfort level. Once all set you may experience a little discomfort at the beginning but that's normal as your body isnt used to being in that position and you'll need to train your body with the help of the brace. After a few hours youll hardly notice the brace and be able to wear it for longer periods.

Read before you judge this and my rating on first look.
I want to give this 5 stars but I cannot. It's been over a month of wearing this back brace and I have encountered problems. This back brace has good ideas built in but it has been a problem after problem for me. I have to wear this where ever I go. I find that whether I have the back brace tucked into my pants or out some how my belt, or pants, or butt pushes against the metal pieces that allow the stiffness for the brace. The metal pieces get pushed up and out of its pocket lining. The metal pieces are meant to be removed in the case you want to wash the brace. The top side of the metal pieces insert lining has a little pocket to pull over the top side of the metal pieces that was meant to keep the metal pieces in. Even with things popped in snug, the metal pieces pop out. Sooner or later you'll notice that you no longer have lower back support because the metal pieces are sticking out and so high up it looks like you have two antennas or whatnot sticking out. I've had people pull it out pranking me, people I don't know just off the streets. The other is that the elastic material is now crinkling looking like the edges of fried bacon. There is no smoothing that out. The velcro meant to hold the whole tension in place and keep the brace together is now holding as well. It doesn't take much for it to come undone. I don't wash this too often and I de-lint the velcro at least once a week. The straps that snap together in front meant to give tension to the shoulder straps doesn't hold its position with the adjuster piece. The strap after getting the tension correct with adjustment becomes undone within an hour or two without having to do any big motions. I did like how it hugs the body and kept me straight, but after time (and not much time) things on the brace just began failing.
