Most comfortable/durable safety-toe rated Skechers
*pictures are of the same pair bought 4 months ago, just washed one shoe to show you its actual appearance. Other shoes: I tried 5-6 different models of Skechers that are safety-toe rated and this one was my top pick. I reviewed older models (~77055 Crankton first made 2014) and newer models (77183 Greetah made 2018?). The higher the style number, the newer that pair is and the shorter amount of time it's been dry rotting on a shelf somewhere. The Greetah is my #2 only because when I walk I can feel the jagged rubber bottom teeth, which are better for predominately uneven surfaces, and I work on flat hard surfaces, and the toe box/safety metal feels a little under padded for my toes. I have not tried the 77123 (Delleker) but I might try for my follow on pair. Product: Style 77068 BKCC, Black/Charcoal suede, red insole, alloy steel toe=ASTM F2413-2011. I/75 C/75 standards for impact and compression. Feel/cushion/sole/step/sizing: The shoe walls are very plush and make my foot feel snug. The sole is their memory air foam design, which will flatten while you're standing on it and expand back when you step. I definitely recommend a second inside sole if you REALLY want to feel like every step is like a pillow. Or an arch support sole if you need it. I purchased my normal shoe size and the shoe fits well. The toe box gets a little tight with my second insole, but that's expected and goes away once I squish them down from walking. Some shoes' safety toe piece cuts into your toes, this pair does not have it for me. Quality: I wear these shoes for 50hr work weeks, each day I spend few minutes on gravel/quarry stone and red clay, then the rest of the day on data center floors. Shoes have not shown any sign of deteriorating/ tearing/ flattening. There are reviews of the heel cushioning tearing from excessive thumbing the shoes on and off, the bottom soles separating from the rest of the shoe. Just check all those out and determine if your usage level will result in the same shoe failures as those people. Looks: The black suede scheme keeps a low profile for shoes. You could also find a neon green color scheme if that fits your work place. the suede washes easily, as shown in the pictures. Final recommendations: research the style/model # and how old it is, use Amazon wardrobe if possible to try 3 pairs at a time, wall around with mixed pairs on to see if you like the left or right foot's pair. Highly recommend a second insole of you like a plush sole feeling.

Husband actually raves about these work shoes
My husband needs shoes for work with a steel or composite toe. He is a challenge to fit because he has very wide feet, so it’s hard to find good options. We spend up to $150 sometimes on shoes because it’s worth it if they work for him. But all the best brands still have the same issues. We are switching from KEENs now because they keep wearing out so fast and hold a bad odor, which is typical for work shoes like these. With these (and all other Skechers he has had), the fit is perfect if he goes up a half size (from 10.5 to an 11) AND get the wide width. The wide width is wide enough and he LOVES these shoes for work. We are always looking at great shoes that a comfortable, tough but not heavy and decent looking and hopefully don’t get too smelly! He says so far these are ALL of that plus a lower price than what we usually pay. We will see how long they last because he is super hard on shoes of any kind or any brand. But he said they are incredibly comfortable .. if they don’t get too smelly, I will love them too!

Timberland Pros were better, for me.
Like many of you, I have had the Timberland Pro shoes that are very similar to these. The thing with the Timberlands, they were incredibly comfortable right out of the box. I could wear them for 12-15 hours at a time & my feet wouldn't hurt 1 bit. They were spectacular for a construction site or driving or walking, whatever. The 1st pair lasted a couple years. Unfortunately, pair # 2 & 3, the soles cracked at right around the 4 to 7 month period. Obviously Timberland had a quality control issue. I know they have a good warranty, but I wasn't going to risk it on pair #4. So I bought these. The Skechers required about 8-10hrs to break in. Wasn't happy about that. My feet were hurting that day! They are great looking & are holding up great, HOWEVER, the right side has developed a squeak with every step. It is so annoying! They are good work shoes, looks fantastic & seem to be wearing well & the price point was really nice, but my next pair will be the Timberland's again. I'll deal with the warranty if I have to. These Skechers just aren't as comfy to wear all day as my Timberland's. However if you've read this far, your still interested in the Skechers. They are a very good work shoe. I can work a 12hr+ shift & my feet are fine, but for me, the Timberlands are a little more comfortable.

Serious comfort!
I have weird feet, I never order shoes online because I’m hard to fit. I took a chance on these it was pretty anxious while I waited for them to arrive. When they arrived I mediately tried them on and wear them around the house and was excited. They fit great, they were not tight anywhere. The safety cup in the tow sits high enough that my toes didn’t feel like they were being crushed. I wore them to work the very next day they were light weight on my feet. And I had no rubbing or blisters on my big toes from the safety cups which is what normally happens to me when I wear steel toed or safety toed boots or shoes. I cannot attest to the durability on these yet because I’ve only had them for a few days but I can tell you that I feel great. I can also tell you that I am ordering another pair to have in In reserve for when these fall apart. I really like the fact they gave you black laces and the yellow laces so you can choose which one you like. My only complaint is the leases feel a little thin, I feel like they might break with refuse on a job site. 100% recommended to anyone. I’ll update my review in a few months to talk about durability.

This Is A Work Shoe ?
When I first put them on I thought they'd left the hard toe out by mistake so I took them off and banged one with a hammer. Nope, didn't forget. I wore these around as regular shoes the first couple of days so they'd break in and my feet get used to them but they never were uncomfortable before wearing to work. At the end of my first day of work they'd gotten uncomfortable on the bottoms of my feet from friction so I went back to my other work boots for a couple of rainy days (they're waterproof) and continued to wear them outside of work and when I wore them to work again the slipping of my feet on the insoles had stopped and had gelled to my foot like a glove. Now they feel like I'm wearing running shoes except that at the end of the day my feet still feel fine instead of fatigued like with other shoes. I average 10k steps on concrete per day, carrying heavy objects, pushing/pulling heavier objects, up and down on a forklift dry and wet conditions and whatever the weather temps is the temps I'm in . I gave my first pair a few days of working to see how they hold up to the beating my shoes are exposed to everyday before deciding on a second pair or something else and since other than dusty looking they look like out of the box new I decided on a second pair, but a 1/2 size larger because they were out of the original size I purchased. Turns out the 1/2 size bigger didn't have the friction on my feet problem the first pair did and now I alienate them frequently. My first day with my second pair a steel cart (about 800 pounds) got dropped and it caught the tip of my brand new shoe grrr but only scuffed the leather (pleather?) top and a small cut not even all the way to the alloy. These shoes are so comfortable a don't feel the need to take them off the very second I leave work but actually don't mind wearing them to the store, but grass right after work, whatever. The soles are very grippy but not to the point where they will cause joint pain when stepping side to side, twisting positions and other activities where grip and slide both come into play. I put safety yellow lock laces into both pairs to make them even more comfortable as well as brightening them up even more. I'm amazed at how comfortable AND durable they are, especially given the price. When I spent under $100 for work shoes I always got 1 or the other, if either, in the past. If you're in a warehouse setting and put a lot of steps in every work day these are a definite contender to consider.

Great Work Shoes
Great accurate fit, very comfortable. I used them walking around the factory all day. I wore them around for about a year with normal use before i had to replace them. The insoles are glued in there tight, so if you need any kind of specific shoe inserts it might be a challenge to get the original ones out.

Order a half size up and get yourself some good insoles...
I work through temporary employment agencies, and every once in a while they place me where steel toed safety shoes are required. The first pair I bought were from Walmart, and I wound up buying the foot mapping orthotic insoles, also from Walmart. They made these otherwise sub-par shoes tolerable. On to these shoes, the back story was important, I promise. After a little over a year in being placed in a lot of safety shoe required assignments. I decided it would probably be worth my money (and foot health,) to invest in some better quality safety toe shoes. Since I wear Skechers shoes for almost every other occasion in my life, I felt it smart to start with them. I found rather quickly that their safety shoes are a lot pricier than I expected, but I decided on these anyway. The appeared to look nice (considering I'm a female buying men's shoes, a 9.5 men's was a lot easier to find than an 11.5 women's,) and were priced reasonably when coupled with prime shipping. I ordered on a Friday, and also opted for Saturday delivery so I could have them in time to break them in before starting my new assignment the following Monday. The shoes came on schedule early Saturday afternoon. Upon opening the box I noticed the shoes look a bit different in color than the pictures... This is not important but worth mentioning in case it is. The color "black/charcoal" means the shoes are black and the soles are charcoal, not the shoes being black and charcoal and the soles being white like I thought. This aside, I immediately threw some crew length socks on and started walking around. I should also add from years of walking 20+ miles a day at work on concrete floors, I suffer from moderate pain in the arch of my left foot. A shoe is good to me if I do not experience this pain instantly when I put my left foot into it. I was off put slightly that even with the memory foam inside these shoes, this pain was instantly noticeable. I don't have this issue with any other Skechers shoes. I walked around a little longer before putting them away and hoping for the best at work. Driving to work was easier than with my other steel toes, this is a composite toe which makes it more light weight than steel, and makes pedal control more manageable. Walking into work, my pain returned. By first break, 4 hours and 15 miles (according to my pedometer) into my shift, my feet were both in agony. This was also concerning because I've never had issues with my right foot. Not to mention the fatigue I felt in my legs. I couldn't wait to get home and get these things off. Now, that all being said, why 3 stars? Safety toe shoes suck. No matter what brand you pick, they're just terrible. However, I ordered a half size up from my normal size after some advice from previous coworkers, and once I put my trusty foot mapping orthotic insoles in these shoes, they were as close to perfect as one could expect a shoe like this to be. No more foot pain, no more fatigue in my legs, and no discomfort in my toes due to the safety toe. I hope this is helpful. These shoes are really well made aside from the faults that all safety shoes come with.

Great for even the roughest conditions!
I never bought a Skechers product before. I needed a protective toe, and something closer to a running shoe than a work boot, with the added need that it could survive chemical exposure. This shoe I have had for four weeks, and I am about to order a second pair for rotation. The first day was a little hard on my feet, but I chalk this up to going from air max Nike to memory foam. I get sulfuric, nitric, and hydrochloric acids on these daily, as well as caustic and ammonia. They take it with no discoloration or holes. This past Monday, I was changing a pump on a sulfuric acid bulk tank, and unknowingly stepped in a puddle of the acid. The soles survived for the full ten minutes of exposure, with zero damage. I am on concrete all day, around 8-10 miles a day, up and down ladders, grated stairs, grated catwalks, on and off forklifts. These are great shoes. The thing I was concerned about on buying was ventilation. I have sweaty feet. My work and lab are normally 80-90F all the time, with the reactor areas being closer to 150F. So I was worried about getting swampfoot in an 8-12 hour day. Amazingly, my feet are 100% dry every day. Again, highly recommend these shoes! Edited: completely fell apart around the edge of the composite toe. Dry rotted I guess. My use was rather extreme maybe, if you are going to get these wet, beware of this. Will be selecting another item instead of ordering a second pair.
