Can i use this for connecting the unbalanced l and r ts outputs from a drum machine into the balanced xlr inputs of two (left and right) speakers?

Yes. It is a two channel direct box. This device translates input from each 1/4" input to the associated XLR output. You could do this with stereo L/R outputs or two separate instruments entirely.

Can I run 2 Keyboards in stereo thru this?

It has two inputs and two outputs, imagine two very slim DI's attached together. So yes you can run stereo in but its going to be separate XLR outputs for L & R
