This is the first volume of the manga adaptation of the Blood+ anime and although I have yet to watch that series if it is anything like this manga then it will be very good.Saya Otonashi is a high school girl who lives with her adoptive family in Okinawa but Saya is suffering from amnesia and cannot remember anything about her life before the past year. Her past soon catches up with her however in the form of a mysterious cellist, shape-changing monsters known as Chiropterans and a shadowy organisation that needs Saya's help.This first volume of the series doesn't give much away but it does give some interesting hints at Saya's past that will definitely keep me reading. The artwork is good and there are a few funny moments which are also quite good. There isn't much action in this volume but what there is, is somewhat bloody but the volume leaves things in a very interesting place for the next instalment.
