Healing Chi Meditation (Chi Powers for Modern Age)

A fair manual for those new into meditation and breathing techniques.
As a lifelong martial arts student (and instructor-Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Krav Maga, Boxing, Target Focus Training, Tai Chi, Qigong and many other combat systems), who is also well into the senior years I often seek out books and manuals on a wide variety of related topics. The last few months I have read many books/booklets by Sifu William Lee and I just finished reading this one (Healing Chi Meditation) that I purchased on Amazon. This 76 page manual like most of his books emphasize the simple basics. His writing style is easy to understand but also repeats the same points throughout his manuals. This particular one teaches his method of “Chi Meditation” which consists of breathing techniques, visualization techniques in combination with meditation methods.Personally, I found this text to be a fair read at best but those who are new to meditation and proper breathing techniques may find this manual interesting and even informative. One of the things that disturb me in the recent publishing trends lately is publishing manuals with NO PAGE NUMBERS. It has a table of contents, but NO LISTED PAGE NUMBERS? I did what I always do when I purchase books with no page numbers, I wrote the page numbers in myself and also put the correct page numbers next to the table of contents. In conclusion, if you are interested in some basic principles of breathing and meditation used in numerous systems (Tai Chi, Qigong, and Yoga etc.) you may want to check out this booklet. I found this book to only be a fair read at best.Rating: 3 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Chair/seated Tai Chi/Qigong/Yoga stretching for seniors and the physically challenged).

... generating and amplifying Qi through Qi breath and visualization like Sifu William Lee's other books give easy
This book on generating and amplifying Qi through Qi breath and visualization like Sifu William Lee's other books give easy, highly valuable and practical instruction. This technique seems a bit more advanced than some of the others but it may also be more powerful. I am a retired California physician who has practiced both Western medicine and acupuncture so I have experience in both Eastern and Western healing methods. I started Qigon practice about five years ago when I recognized that it is far better and easier to keep the Qi in one's meridians flowing freely than to try to remedy blockages and illnesses once they have become established. In addition to my other Qigong practice I have put Sifu William Lee's techniques to practice in my daily life with very noticeable positive results in terms of energy, vitality and well being. His methods are clearly presented and extremely cost efficient in terms of time and energy required to learn and apply. They are deceptively simple but for those who are willing to actually put them into practice the benefits will be easily recognizable. I have purchased and applied all of Sifu's books and each is a gem in its own right; each providing a different but equally potent tool for maintaining balanced Qi flow throughout one's body. The price of Sifu's books is as very low as the value is very high. Sifu William Lee has done a great service by providing this valuable ancient practice to the general public is such a user friendly form.Arun Seeley, M.D.

excellent
I have a friend who is into Chi Gong and Chinese healing methods And he recommended this book to me.Since I'm always interested in learning new things I decided to give it a try.Well what can I say? This book is excellentThe Dan Tian Centering breathing Technic is superb. I have read about abdominal breathing and heard various teachers talk about it many times yet, in this book William Lee explains the Correct way of doing it so the chi can flow easily.I'm only sorry that I did not run into this book earlier. I have to fix my breathing patterns because I use my upper chest too much when I breath and up till now No one has explained to me how to do abdominal breathing correctly so when I was trying to practice it in the past- I didn't get any benefits from it and I stopped trying. After reading this book and trying the Technic for three days I already feel that my breathing patters is fixing itself.Of course I need to practice it more and more to correct years of bad breathing patters but I'm already starting to notice the difference. The other exercises are also excellent, William Lee manged to explain the technics very well while qi gong and yoga teachers that I met complicated things too much.Thank you so much Mr. William Lee

healing Chi meditation
Healing chi meditation is a very enjoyable and easy to understand book with practical guidelines.Everybody, including you, can do these easy meditations. The author starts with a short explanation of what Chi is and how it will benefit you.Personally I like the story of the "teachability Index".As the author rightfully observes there are many "dead time" moments in our lifes. You can use these moments for the practice of the meditations he describes. One chapter that is probably overdone is the explanation of the meridians, but I want to clearly state that this is my personal opinion. All in all I can recommend this book to anybody interested.

... really helped me out but this one was really easy to follow
Over the years i have been trying out all kinds of Meditations and some of them have really helped me out but this one was really easy to follow. Chi Meditation may sound and look confusing but i promise, it's not at all complicating. It's written very well and illustrated in a way so you can follow the whole book without a struggle.

Very pleasant surprise
I love trying out different types of meditation, from transcendental to mindfulness and more. I picked up this book not expecting much, but I like it more than I thought I would. So far it is going well, and this book helped me a lot. It explains Chi meditation very well and it cleared up for me some common misinterpretations of it. I recommend it to anyone who has interest in meditation, just keep an open mind and enjoy it.

Healing Chi Meditation
This is a very handy guide if you're interested in trying out Chi Meditation and improving your breathing techniques. What I liked about this book is that its a good starting place to find out more about this type of meditation without getting bogged down with tons of information. Worth trying out.

Too many words for the message it conveys
I trawled many pages of statements about things most people already know. I was disappointed and felt that there was an element of 'too much padding' or the 'pop corn effect'. The same message could have been given in a small (and much cheaper) pamphlet.

Clear and straightforward
A great accompaniment to 5 Minute Chi Boost but equally effective on it's own. I have practiced Chi Gung for many years and this is recommended for anyone at any level. Do yourselves a favour and try this.

Very effective
unlike a lot of other books in the genre, short, sweet, and doesn't make you feel like a neophyte will take decades to build their own effective practise. well done!
