Sino-Indian War: Border Clash: October–November 1962 (Cold War 1945–1991)

Short history of a forgotten conflict
The 1962 Indo-CHina war is largely forgotten in the West since it more or less coincided with the Cuban Missile Crisis. But it is still not forgotten in India and as this books shows it was classic breakdown of CIVIL AND MILITARY leadership at the top levels . Against this the individual soldiers no doubt fought bravely and given the circumstances the outcome may have been completely different but then the Chinese withdrew after "teaching India a lesson". There are lots of lessons to be learnt here and hopefully they have been still learnt and both the upper echelons in the civil and military leadership are hopefully not so laid back.
