Great for the elderly or blind Persons
My father has been blind for the past decade and this is the only phone that he is comfortable with he’s also somewhat hard of hearing so the volume & the speaker along with the ringtones on these phones are excellent. I personally super glued rhinestones to the buttons so that he can feel them a little bit better, kind of like Braille. This phone has a great battery life, it’s really inexpensive, and it’s compatible with AT&T, cricket, and T-Mobile. I definitely recommend this phone for any elderly or blind persons.

Bad company
I'm very familiar with this phone. I had one & accidentally drowned it. I got exactly the same one when they were still making them ... and crushed it. I thought I would try one of these "renewed" ones.1) First one I ordered was DOA. It would say "Charging" but never charged. I tried replacing one of my other batteries - no difference. This wasn't a surprise looking at other reviews. I instantly returned it. Then sent me a prepaid lable. No problem.2) I ordered a second one, hoping it was just a fluke. This one completed charging, but would never turn on. I tried different batteries -- no difference. NOW, I find out I have to pay for return shipping ... for THEIR problem. They didn't send me a working phone.It appears that they clean them up, put on new stickers, and plug them in. If they say "charging", they are officially "renewed."This is a great phone ... don't buy it from this company.

Purchased as replacement.
Purchased as replacement in hopes of keep this kind of phone for use. Later found that I had to up grade. When using this phone, my husband, loved it.

Based on the other reviews, it's possible that some of the phones are unlocked. The one I got was locked to ATT. When I called Amazon, was told it was locked and I should have known because blah blah... Despite the big red letters and small black print saying it's unlocked. Amazon has great logistics but item descriptions are often woefully inaccurate.
