Was really hesitant on buying for an extra machine for my tire shop , I have had it now for 3-4 months , using it daily doing 20 tires a day with it and have not had one issue yet . The bead blaster doesn’t work as good as my hunter machine but does good with smaller tires .

Summary: Tire Machine is 11/10, tire balancer is 2.5/10. Also, if you don’t have a loading dock (or have a crappy one), do yourself a favor and request lift gate service! The extra $100-$200 is 100% worth it over trying to figure out a forklift. They’ll pallet jack it to where you need it to go, and 3 people is all it took for us to unbox and assemble! If you’re mechanically inclined, assembly will be no issue. I didn’t know what to expect when ordering this, but figured at $2500 why not give it a try. The 988 Tire machine is probably one of the best tire machines I have EVER used!! It is absolutely worth every penny. I can’t say the same about the 688 balancer. The balancer has a up and down wobble to it no matter how you mount the tire. And yes, I’ve tried several from used wheels and tires to brand new tires and wheels. Even steel wheels. Out of 8 wheels, you MAY get 2 that balance to “0.00” (confirmed on another balancer”, but even then the weights are all over the wheels. Do yourself a favor and order just the tire machine for way less, and get a proper branded balancer. Thats what I am doing and I am happy! The tire machine works wonderful. The metal arm has plastic inserts which is the first time I’ve seen that. Now you have the strength of metal, with the protection of plastic. I am hoping I can buy more inserts for when these wear out :). The pneumatic arm lock works great, the bead breaker works great, and it even has a built in bead “cheetah”. The extra two assist arms are exactly what you need to mount and dismount most tires. And for the price?! Can’t beat it! I wish I bought just the machine and skipped the balancer, but use my experience and take advantage of this amazing machine! I’ve used many tire machines and I can’t think of any other one I would pick to use over this one when it comes to manual tire machines!

After doing a little research I came to the conclusion this was the tire changer combo I needed. Took a little longer to receive it but after I got it and put it to work I could not have gotten a better machine for the money. So far iv done more than 20 tires with no problem. The tire changer arms help so much and makes it easier to change any tire size. After you get to know your machine better the process gets a lot better and you learn how to take care of your tires and wheels. The customer service folks I have to say they work very quick in getting any problem fixed as soon as possible. In one the pictures I show my tire changer with wheels that I added so I can move it around where ever I need it since I have it in my garage. I haven’t had no problems with the wheels or caster’s I installed. The shops don’t take care of your wheels, they always scratch them and you are not there to see it. With a set like this you make sure your Rim’s are not scratched or chipped. I’m very satisfied with my machine and I highly recommend it specially for the do it yourselfers!

Do not buy this item. The equipment fails, and the company does not stand behind its product. They refuse to let customers speak with a supervisor over simple issues and do not honor their stated warranty. The tire machine is acceptable, but the balancer is unusable and effectively a paperweight. Customer service is unprofessional and obstructive. During a warranty claim call, representatives repeatedly placed the phone down and ignored me. When I began recording the call for documentation, they stopped responding entirely. This appears to be a deliberate tactic to avoid resolving claims, relying on the assumption that most customers will give up rather than pursue refunds or chargebacks. I am actively seeking a full refund and will never do business with this company again.

I finally got around to unboxing these machines a couple of weeks ago and wanted to wait until I used them a bit to post a review. First impression was not super great as I was met with rusty parts and the lower body where the mounting holes are also had rust. I’ve had to shave off some of the rust and apply grease. The included tire bar was bent off to the side, which wasn’t that much of an issue to me as harbor freight sells pretty good ones. I’m not a huge fan of the balancer. But it works as intended. The lock handle that comes with it is flimsy and I’m going to look into a stronger alternative. The tire changer is pretty good. I’m a little disappointed that the helper arm with the rollers does not go lower. But, I’m usually able to find another way if I have issues. So again, I’m not too concerned. Overall, the machines being brand new with a price tag under $5k when you compare to the “red machines” makes it hard to argue that they’re good for the price.

Haven't got to really use yet.. just tested for function.. couple things I didn't really care for but for the most part it's a great deal.. came delivered with good packing and it was oiled up, no rust. Had a issue where one of the cylinders was damage in shipping.. and the company sent me a new part immediately.. nice to see customer service like this.. you dont see that much anymore... So if you're on the fence about buying this combo... I would recommend.. yes the instructions aren't great.. but if you can't figure how to put this thing together and operate it .. then you shouldn't be touching tires... Or a car for that matter...
