Good cut good material
I’m 6’4” and the length fit my torso well. Material is good and the cut is nice. Not too boxy or loose toward waist. Will likely buy more

Great color variety
I live in t-shirts and I’m always on the lookout for colors different than the same ‘ol…and I found some nice ones here. Eggplant is one of my favorites and this one is nicely done with good color saturation and so far, little fading. I’m purchasing lapis today and expect the same. As for fit and quality, I’m very pleased. Ring-spun cotton softness and good, classic (relaxed) fit. I’m sorry for the folks that miss what I am understanding was a slim fit style from the old AA - seems like it would have been a good idea to re-name this tee when they changed the fit. But for me, it’s just grand :o)

Great quality t-shirt, runs slightly small...
I purchased this shirt for my husband, along with a variety of others, as he needed some 100% cotton t-shirts for work. After doing a bunch of research, I decided to purchase this particular shirt because I love that it's made in the USA and that's hard to find these days. I had a feeling this t-shirt was going to run small, not just because it's 100% cotton, but also because it seems that most manufacturers are trending towards a more "unisex" fit. The hubby normally wears an XL, so I went with an XXL just in case - too big is always better than too small. Fresh out of the package, this shirt was huge but after the first was it shrunk down to what I would consider to be a slightly roomy XL size. The shirt shrunk evenly all the way around and maintained it's shape nicely after the first wash. Overall this shirt is great quality, but a little bit on the small side - mainly through the shoulders.

It arrived the night before Christmas and the quality of the shirt is great! Loved the color and it's super soft and ...
I ordered this for my husband this Christmas. My son drew a design on the shirt as a Christmas gift so when I ordered it I was hoping it was true to size and that it would arrive quickly! It did! It arrived the night before Christmas and the quality of the shirt is great! Loved the color and it's super soft and comfy. So comfortable that my husband has basically not taken it off since he got it!!! He loves it. He is 5'11'' and weighs about 190lbs. He is broad shouldered and the large was perfect for him. I'm going to buy several other colors and have my son design his dad's shirts from now on!

Not the same anymore. Bad Quality
I’ve been buying this exact short for years. The last two I bought were different material thean all pre opus ones, quality has gone down for sure. They also shrunk significantly in the wash. That’s it no more American Apparel for me.

Legit product
I bought six of these shirts. Two shipped from Amazon, and the rest shipped from "shopblueco". All six appear to be legitimate American Apparel "2001" shirts, and all six have tags. They fit exactly like the American Apparel 2001 shirts that I've had for years.Speaking of which, AA has, by far, the most consistent fit of any t-shirts I've bought in decades, these shirts fit exactly the same as the shirt I have from around 2006. Compare that to the tees I've bought from Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Mossimo, and Eddie Bauer, where every order -- and even different shirts within the same order -- have fit differently! American Apparel's quality control seems to be the best in the business. I assume this is because other brands don't actually manufacture anything, and they switch suppliers constantly, whereas AA has complete control of the entire manufacturing process. As always, remember that AA tees run more snug than most brands. However, they're probably the longest standard size tees I've found. At 6'2" 190 Lbs, a size large is *just* long enough.

Inconsistent sizing / irregulars / poor quality control
I love American Apparel shirts. The cotton fabric is soft and comfortable.I ordered three shirts - one fit correctly, and matched the sizing of AA shirts I already had. One, the neckline was so tight as to feel constricting. And the shoulder width was also about 1” narrower than the correct onesThe third also had a noticeably much smaller neck opening.Seems like poor manufacturing controlsBack two of them go.Want to buy more, reluctant to buy from a third party seller and know that I’ll likely need to return at least some. Also, this page now has a different seller (but same address) than the shirts I purchased. (All shirts had one seller, now all shirts at the same page have a different seller. Maybe same seller but different name?)

Good Quality, Good Price
Product is as expected., Color is exactly as pictured, fits as a 'normal' large. No issues with the product, quality is good as well. You can't go wrong with this shirt for the price.

Made in the US.
Whilst in America some nine years ago, I purchased several Tshirts, and until quite recently they were the best tees I have ever had, both the material and the build quality had a far superior feel to it, they are nearly the same today as when I initially bought them, yes, of course they may have grown a little greyer, but that I suspect would be more likely attributal to my fault and those of my washing machine, than any hmanufacturers inadequancies.I have of course purchased other Tshirts since, unfortunately, these were made in Countries perhaps better known for their volume garment production and their lower price per unit than their sustainability and longevity, absolutely none have have ever shown any thing like the reliability of those that were made in America. Suffice it to say, that I will now only ever buy those that were "made in the United States".
