Hi! I stated in my review that this shower curtain is definitely not waterproof. Definitely, any water sprinkling onto this shower curtain does not discolor it or water stain it. It drys quickly as well. You will definitely need a good liner (true for most shower curtains not made of water proof material or with a water proof back side) between it and your showering area. I used a clear liner and it was an expensive at only $8. I thought later that perhaps a light color of liner would work if I wanted to continue my softer color spa theme throughout my bathroom by adding a touch of color with a pastel liner. For now? I am enjoying the clear liner very well. All the best!
