For every standard size processor all you need is a Pea size drop in the middle of the processor then you attach the cooler of your choice.

Can i use this thermal paste to delid my i7-3770k between the ihs and die? this because the liquid metal after some months doesn't work well enough

I have seen others use this for that application, however, I have not used it on a delid project myself.
