The beans in this bar have travelled 50 kms by canoe to get to the nearest road. From the remote Rio ene, one of the headwaters of the amazon river, they are the original wild variety of criollo cacao, harvested from the amazon jungle by the Ash�ninka people of the kemito ene cooperative. This intense cacao from the 2015 harvest has notes of aniseed & fennel. Grown beneath the jungle canopy, alongside citrus and coffee plants, you can taste the biodiversity of the forest in every bite.
