This is apparently not the "real" original Laguiole folding knife. It doesn't not fold.
According to the Internet, there is no protection for the original Laguiole knifes and other places in the town of Laguiole make similar looking knives.Read up on "Laguiole" knives before buying this set.It is a functioning steak knife, and they do have pretty handles. But I see no place in the handle for the blade to fold into.

Plastic breaks
The plastic over the years literally disinigrates after a while. We had this set for over 8 years and every one is falling apart. But we got our money's worth they are very sharp
