Roaman'sWomen's Plus Size Full Length Faux-Fur Coat With Hood

I really wanted to love this coat, but alas, it swallowed me! I know my measurements by heart and made sure to order the correct size according to the sizing chart but honestly I could have gone down 1.5 -2 whole sizes and had it fit much better. The coat was VERY warm for the few minutes I had it on and SOOO Soft. It had no noticeable smell or unreasonable creases. Unfortunately, my husband immediately vetoed the coat as it made me look like a chinchilla colored Sasquatch/Bigfoot/Wookie. (He never vetos my clothing choices so I must have looked CRAZY ridiculous for him to actually say something) Such a SHAME, I was dreaming of this coat for 2 years before I finally purchased it. With me being a plus sized gal who carries most of her weight up top, the fur on coat made me look much larger/heavier than I really am. Regardless of all this I am still giving it 4 stars because the coat was absolutely beautiful, well made, and toasty warm, it was just the wrong style for my plus size body type and was not flattering on me at all. (Although, I’m sure will look gorgeous on others!) I am in the process of returning the coat, and although it’s taking quite a bit longer than I expected for my refund, customer service says I should have it soon. (+ Great customer service!)

I recently got it in the natural color. I love it! Wallflowers, look elsewhere, because you will definitely be noticed in this. I would probably wear a 22, but ordered the large (18/20) and it is perfect. It's a bulky coat, so a close fit looks better on me. I unhook at the hip when I sit. The hooks and I both agree it's for the best. It hits me at lower calf. It is softer than some inexpensive real furs. Roll the cuffs back and it looks elegant. It looks like a chic faux fur. Shedding is minimal, but it happens. Loads of compliments from husband, daughter, friends, and strangers. I look like a boss in this coat. My only drawbacks are the lightweight lining and hooks. On windy cold days (35 degrees or less) you need warm long sleeves underneath. The hood is double sided faux fur and is the secret to the warmth. When you wear it, it locks in your body heat. The closures (hooks) are not sufficient for the weight of the coat. I caught a Black Friday sale. I would say it is definitely worth the $135 I spent on it. I have lovingly named her Chewbacca.

UPDATE: I did end up sending this coat back, but only for a smaller size. It came in time and was super comfortable . One down side is sometimes it sheds, but I mean, the whole coat is faux fur. Great for what I need it for. I included a photo with this update!!Absolutely love this coat. I read that it ran large, and had I paid attention to Roamans size chart I would have realized I was ordering not 1 but 2 sizes too large. I’m between a 16-18, or a 2x depending on what I’m purchasing. I got this in the 1x and the tag reads 1x 22-24, I’m swimming in it. (This is a buyers mistake not the company). I’m keeping it because it was purchased for a 1920s engagement shoot and I don’t have the time or patience to send it back since tomorrow is thanksgiving and I have a short time until photos. 100% would purchase again. It felt warm, it was very very soft, and it DID NOT look fake. Great buy

Looks so luxurious so happy I made this purchase ... the fur does not shed ! Will order in the chinchilla ... (pictures attached flash on and off)

I don't usually like fur like coats because they seem to make you look larger than you are. This coat doesn't. It is beautiful but it runs a little large. I bought a 2x but should have ordered a 1x. I can wear bulky sweaters under it so I won't send it back. It was worth every penny. Now I want the black one. This coat doesn't look cheap so I hope the black one doesn't either.

I really wanted to love this coat, but the shoulders and upper arm areas are huge while the cuffs are super tight. Very uncomfortable. Seems like it wasn't made right. Also, the fur is not soft or realistic. The lining has a cheap look and feel which I could live with if the rest of the coat was as described. Very, very disappointed.

I love the coat as it looks so realistic. It is warm, fits perfectly and feels and looks great. Be very careful with size as it is one of the few things I have gotten that was made in China that runs true to size for the USA. The price was very reasonable and I was able to afford it something I have wanted for years. I got the red fox coat and also the hat.
