Xxl for extra fat big hands
I really dont like iron clad gloves. I wanted wind proof (but not waterproof) lightly insulated gloves, for work. Xxl are hard to find anyway, and now I couldn't find wind proof work gloves, or insulated with good dexterity. I thought these would be the ticket, but only if they fit better than the last style of iron clad gloves I had (fingers were too tight). These are perfect length but no where near tight enough, so very little dexterity. And no insulation to speak of. I found I can wear insulated stretchy gloves under then comfortably but I still dont get dexterity that way. I know the gloves I want at least used to exist. I had a set from cabelas that I made last for 5 years. They weren't even work gloves.

A little disappointed
A little disappointed, as I was buying these to replace a pair of Ironclad Summit gloves, which I would buy a dozen pairs of if I could find them. These arent particularly warm, but if you are using them while doing something strenuous(as they are probably meant to me used) I think they would be a big step up in warmth from the basic line of Ironclads. Realistically, they deserve a 4, they are decent gloves, just not what I expecte

Just Right on your way to the Summit
I really like these gloves and recently ordered my third pair. OK, so the name "Summit" is not a good name. It conjures up thoughts of extra warmth that simply won't be there in otherwise extreme conditions. The gloves are medium weight at best. HOWEVER, I find this weight to be ideal for many active uses - cold weather running, X-country skiing, long walks with the dog, general outdoor work, etc. Not too hot, not too cold when you are actively engaged. I have even used these on Mt. Rainier up to 11,500 feet (i.e. not the summit) as they provided the right combination of warmth, coverage, flexibility and dexterity that was critical for a late summer/early fall ascent. I slipped a properly sized Gore-tex shell over the Ironclads to provide additional wind protection and insulation for the final leg up to 14,500 and then stowed the shells on the way down. So, these are my "Get You Close to the Summit" gloves. I would echo the sizing difficulty. The medium fits me just right even though I normally wear a large in other brands.

Great mid weight glove
As I'm sure you the astute Iron Clad buyer is aware, this is the 2nd generation of these gloves. There is simply nothing better in the middle weight division than these units. Not for hard labor probably, but for general outdoor use and cold weather riding they are an amazing value. Not quite as soft as the first gen, but they do have a little more wear protection. Good trade-off

Love these gloves!
I bought two pair about a year and a half ago, and am still on the first pair. They fit my hands perfectly, but i have long fingers and like XL gloves. I do not use them for the hard use activities like cutting firewood, but for light chores around the place. I also use them for driving, hunting, and backcountry skiing. They are not my only gloves, I have these for warmer conditions, heavy gloves and then mittens for harsher conditions. These are the most comfortable, so I wear them as much as possible. I paid $12.61 a pair and am very pleased with the gloves. My son just borrowed my second pair to go ice climbing in -5 - 15 degree weather, and said they worked great, but were not water proof.

Seams separating after <2 months.
Great gloves, was refereed by a friend that does a ton of hunting and outdoor activity. One of the fingers is already splitting at the seam and it's past the return date. I have worn these to and from work sparingly since Christmas, so not even 2 months of light use and they are falling apart. I will try to stitch them back to life, but I doubt I would ever buy this brand again.

Great Gloves for Winter Framing
These gloves are very warm, windproof, don't over-heat, and provide exellent dexterity. They are great for framing homes in winter. They are also very durable. If you frame in the winter, you should try a pair. The cuff of the glove overlaps the cuff of my jacket and keeps the cold out.Initially they are very tight. If you have really large/fat fingers, you won't like them. They take a few days of work to break in.The advantage of the tight fit is that you can actually grab the the chalk line and snap it with them on.

Best medium duty gloves I ever tried
Worn for work and play the last two months. Best medium duty gloves I ever tried, and I will buy again. Comfy and good enough fit to be able to grab screws from a pouch with mild effort.
