Good value for a automatic dive watch
The watch looks fantastic! If there is a downside, it is that these classic Vostoks are smaller than modern wrist clocks, however it is quite legible. The screw down crown is large.

Requires adjusting the speed manually
I like this Russian watch. It's very handsome looking and not overwhelmingly large like so many watches today, but still big enough to look good on my wrist. It came with a green nylon NATO strap (ironic for a Russian watch, yes?) but I replaced it with a "greenish" (kind of green-grey) leather strap which feels a lot better, less scratchy. As for accuracy, at first it was running three minutes fast every 10 days which is not good at all. I opened up the back and moved the adjusting lever (the small one) toward minus. Then it ran about a minute too slow every 10 days, so I did it again. Now it's perfect. If you need to do this, here's how:Unscrew the ring on the back of the watch. You'll probably need a watch tool to do this. They're very cheap on Amazon.Remove the ring, then pop off the back plate. There are little tabs at top and bottom which you can pry up with a small screwdriver or penknife. With the back open, locate the speed-adjusting lever. There are two small levers next to a plus and minus sign. The smaller one adjusts the watch's speed. The larger one will screw everything up, so don't touch it. Very gently push the small speed lever slightly faster (+) or slower (-), as needed. Move it very little, just a slight amount. Then put it back together and check the time periodically. If it's not right (and it won't be yet), do it all over again. It only took me three small adjustments to get it virtually perfect.A little annoying to have to do this -- which I wouldn't need to do on a Seiko or other Japanese watch -- but the watch is distinctively different and I like it.Nice watch. I recommend.

sucky bezel
I do really like it but the price is high for a Vostok. I loved the picture because the bezel was so good looking but in person, I think it looks cheap even for a Vostok. When you rotate the bezel it just feels sloppy and could move on its' own from a bump. I still love it for the Russian fugliness of it and it's so light and sturdy. for 80$ it would be great for what I paid spend another 20$ and get an Orient Mako. It is 8/10's the quality of a rolex and cost 140$. Amazingly though this Vostok it only looses about 3 seconds a day. That's better than my Orient and Seiko mechanicals. I got lucky with this watch and love the weird history of the company. Pop off the crappy bezzel and throw it on a nice 30$ leather NATO strap and it's amazing.

disappointing
I was expecting a great watch, but from the first day on, I was not able to wind the clock, and I was not able to adjust time as well.Kinda frustrating

Condensation
Cool watch, but boy....I've had it less than a month, washed a car today and got it a little wet. Condensation inside the watch after it's first exposure to splashing water. Pretty sad engineering. Supposed to be good to 200 meters. Otherwise, It's a bit clunky, but very cool. I love it but for the fact that it's not trustworthy. The strap is junk, but a nice color.
