Works nicely. Seems well built. Bolt on for 01 a4 1.8t. it's a very vocal turbo but 4mo 3000mi on it and everything seems fine. Boost instantly, pulls hard. Can't beat the price either.

Definently a case of you get what you pay for! 300 miles after installation with new oil feed lines bla bla bla it locked up! Still waiting for response from max... for replacement or refund. If it would of made it 10-12k miles understandable fr the price. Save your lunch money for a few extra days and get a better quality part!

Amazing

Packaging was great. Product looked to be of decent quality and build! No glaring casting issues. For this price I was pleasantly surprised. I've driven a little over 1,000 miles with this turbo and she seems to be holding up. HOWEVER...My check engine light did come on at around 950 miles with a slight loss of power hitting hills on the interstate. There are 3 codes in total. P0234 indicates a boost pressure release issue. This could either be obstructed lines, boost solenoid problems, OR the waste-gate on the turbo is faulty/sticking. I'm holding onto hope that it isn't the latter. The 2 other codes are P1128 and P0171 - Fuel/air mixture issues. These codes were not present before install. I'm going to replace the MAF sensor, boost solenoid, and fuel filter as well as check all the vac lines again. If that does not fix the problem then I'll have to exchange it. Things happen. Again, FOR THE PRICE, she seems fine. But, we shall see.

It worked for about 2 months, I run clean synthetic all the time, started throwing errors then a high pitched siren noise....

Well it started smokeing and leaking oil first day it sux

Seems like a nice turbo. It’ll bolt right up but it’s advertised as a ko4 but it’s definitely a ko3. It’ll work for the time being I guess. A little disappointed.
