Vessel Precision Screwdriver Set TD-56S / +0, 00, 000, 0000, -0.7, -0.9

Though relatively inexpensive for precision drivers, this Vessel kit is what you'd expect from Vessel. They're good quality and are precision machined. Vessel kind of cheaped out on the handles, though. The swivel heads are plastic instead of metal. That doesn't affect usability and, AFAICT, hasn't resulted in reduced durability/lifespan. It's not a deal-breaker, but it does give you the El Cheapo vibe. This particular set has the rare #0000 size cross point (one reason I bought the kit), so the drivers included will fit just about any teensy screw you're likely to encounter, including those in mobile devices and cameras. JIS screwdrivers also fit and work with Phillips screws, but Phillips drivers have a different profile and will easily ream out JIS screw heads. I've also purchased this kit for relatives who have the occasional need for precision drivers and they have reported back how useful it has proven to be. At $15.99 (at time of review), it's the perfect gift for everyone on your list who needs or may eventually need small drivers of this type. The case needs a redesign. The plastic hinge and clasp/latch are holding up well after many openings, so I guess it's fairly durable. However, it's a pain to open and it will prove frustrating for those with arthritic (or other problem) hands. The clasp is too tight/strong and requires excessive effort with too little gap to get a good grip on it. It extends almost to the bottom of the case, which means there is precious little area of the bottom to grab ahold of with one hand while trying to open it with the other. You can try to grab the sides beside the clasp, but that's not comfortable and one's grip on it can slip. It's not user-friendly. Despite the poor case design, I still give this kit 5 stars, since the quality of the drivers is good, it includes the hard-to-find #0000, enough sizes to fit the cross point (JIS) screws that regular Phillips precision drivers don't, and all at a very reasonable price point, especially considering they're made in Japan and not Taiwan or China.

What every handy person should have to fix quality products. This is a must for computer, cell phone and camera fixes. ONLY USE "JIS" tips.

Seems to be a good quality set of Japanese standard mini-screwdrivers. I used them to disassemble my Nintendo New 3DS XL, and they worked very well.

I get these tiny screwdrivers to assemble small robots and other electronic projects, and there are super awesome, the quality is great and after 100 screws driven with the 000 Phillips one only a bit of black paint disappeared from the screwdriver tip, as you can see in the pic. So I'm super happy with their performance. Even it comes with the #0000 Phillips screwdriver that it's a super useful and hard-to-find tool for small projects. But I give them no 5 stars because the rubber handler that is attached to the screwdrivers it's not well fixed there, it is super comfortable to use, but when you have to apply more torque you fell how it is spinning around the screwdriver, making impossible for you to drive the force into the screwdriver, you lose grip, so finally I had to remove it and use the screwdriver itself as it is, that in the other hand is super well done with a good shape and good grip metal surface. Another detail that I would change is to make them a bit longer, so would be more comfortable to use resting the tool head inside the palm of your hand. Other than that, I'm super happy with my purchase and I recommend them to you if you are looking for good precision Phillips and Slotted tiny screwdrivers.

Fantastic screwdrivers - they should cost more.

Vessel is known for making fantastic screwdrivers and these are not exception. When I needed to tinker with an old DSLR lens, I found I needed a #0000 philips (JISC actually) screwdriver. Up until then I didn't even know that was a thing! So I bought this set and they work extremely well! The blades are perfectly sized and did not have any wiggle in them when I used them, and did not cam out of the screws. I noticed a few reviews mentioning the rubber grips moving. They are designed to do that, so you can move them to position it where you are most comfortable (it's even mentioned on the packaging). Mine grip the driver pretty firmly but can be moved. Not sure if they are loose for others but I haven't experienced that. If I had one criticism it's the fact that the caps are plastic and not metal. I feel like a metal cap would have a bit less friction in them but that hasn't cause any issues for me personally. Just would like to see a version with metal caps. Overall for the price they are fantastic. There are only a couple of companies that make #0000 JISC drivers and these are the most affordable option, not to mention being a quality product.

I appreciate the different colors for my cataract and glaucoma ridden eyes. They work exceptionally well.

I landed on this screwdriver set after searching around various SLR photography blogs for the best value option; The JIS crosspoint screwdrivers are already working much better than my old set. The screws in Japanese cameras and lenses can get stripped more easily with phillips since those aren't exactly the right shape. These screwdrivers are small, but they feel sturdy despite being so thin. The rubber grip in the middle is just right for when the spinning end cap fits in your palm. They seem to be slightly magnetized, but it's still pretty easy to drop the tiny screws. (I may also just have butter fingers.) Bottom line, I'm very happy with the value I got in this set!
