Yaufey Dehumidifier

Using this dehumidifier for a week. I put it in my office in my home. It is working quietly, not like the big noisy dehumidifier I have in the basement. When it arrived, I took it out of the box. The first impression is its light weight. I can easily carry it with just one hand. The handle on the top makes it easy to move around. It is pretty straight forward to have it up and running. Just plug it in and press the "Setting" button to change the desired humidity level. It also allow you to change the speed of the fan and has a timer. This is a small dehumidifier, the water tank is only 3.8 pints capacity. However, it provides a drainage pipe that can connect to the continuous drainage port. Please note, this unit does not pump the water to a higher place so the pipe has to be lower. As for energy efficiency, the user manual state the Max Power is 260W, but the regular usage should be lower than 200W. In general, this is a cute and quite small dehumidifier. I like it.

I purchased the “used” one and it showed it was only going to have damage to the box and maybe some minor cosmetic damage but there was nothing wrong with mine at all not even a scratch and the box barely even had much damage. Definitely worth the extra $20 ish off. We have been having horrible moisture levels in our camper since winter started. Our windows were constantly soaking wet. Closets were always wet and making clothes have a milder smell. I ended up finding mold under the bed storage and inside a bench storage where our table is. So disgusting. I had to do something different. The Dehu alone still wasn’t cutting it with keeping all the moisture off the windows but it did help significantly. What we did next was use the plastic saran wrap insulation kit from Walmart and the silver insulation type stuff that’s kinda like the windshield sun shades and put them in windows then shrunk the plastic over them. We haven’t had any moisture on the inside of the windows or the frame because we covered the entire thing. I dump the dehu once a day. Works great!

At first I was well pleased with the unit, it worked as it should have for the first 8 months then all of the sudden it quit extracting water. I was in touch with Yaufey back and forth they had me trying different settings to no avail. And since they claimed that the unit did not have but a 3 month warranty they will not refund my money and since then that is what it says but you would think that any company would stand by their product at least 1 year. I would not recommend that anyone would buy their product.

This is a nice small and quiet dehumidifier. It would be great for a small room. But don't expect it to be able to dehumidify at anywhere near the rated 32 pints per day. It is just too small. For me, it was unable to control the humidity in my very dry basement. My previous dehumidifier was rated at 35 pints per day and had no problem maintaining 50% humidity.

I bought this product to replace the broken dehumidifier that I have been using in the past two years because it was the 30-pint dehumidifier with the lowest price (after $20 coupon) when I searched Amazon. Although I never heard this brand before, I can perceive the massive amount of work the manufacturer put into the design. This dehumidifier has a sleek and minimal front with air intaking vent and water collection tank on the back. It has a quieter operation noise compared to my old GE dehumidifier. However, the smaller size results in a downsized water collecting tank, which means its continuous operation requires more frequent tank emptying. An alternative solution is to use the draining hose enclosed in the package. This configuration requires the dehumidifier to be placed near a floor drain. The back air intake design demands a 7.88 inches clearance. To achieve the best room efficiency, I set the machine facing the wall. However, this practice is not mentioned by the official manual. So anyone who is trying this is on their peril.

We have only single pane windows in our apartment building located in a wet climate. This helps greatly. Only con is that sometime it is noisy and and fills up too fast ! Would be great if the holding tank was larger.

Quiet DEHUMIDIFIER w/Hose for automatic drainage - Very Good Support from Yaufey at [email protected]. International seller (out of USA). I had an issue with a flashing signal on control panel so that the machine would not work. This flashing signal was not identified in the owner's manual. "3 Flashing Water Droplets" means "Water Storage Tank is full/ needs emptying" -- I didn't know what it meant but the support via Email was very helpful. The water tank was not full since the drain hose was attached and automatically draining all water. Apparently the water tank had not been completely reset in place which interrupted the machine's operations. I unplugged the machine from electricity, completely removed the water tank and carefully replaced it so it was completely set into place. Turned on "Power" and the flashing signal was gone - problem solved. It has been running perfectly since then. Thank you. CH

I used this in my half basement. The humidity level is still higher than set at. Ended up buying another brand with same sqft coverage and works much better.
